Mistakes happen, how they are handled by management is how a company should be judged.Almost lost complete faith in this company over an interaction I had at this Hudson MA location. Somehow, a secondary user on our family account had their personal credit card auto-billed for membership renewal. When I went to member services to have this fixed, they performed an unauthorized cancellation of the entire membership without notice, just said they were “processing a refund”. When I asked for them to reverse it and reopen the account, they couldn’t - which meant we lost our rewards points as a BJs + member. When I asked them to sign the family back up from scratch, they couldn’t do it without the primary member present. Somehow they let a secondary member account make changes to, and cancel, an entire membership (against their policies) but they couldn’t fix their mistake because “secondary users can’t sign up accounts”. To make it worse, their front-end manager, Lindsey, took on the situation, and out the gate she was rude and dismissive. She would talk over me, had my membership info wrong, and was unapologetic of the mistake her team made. Hands down, she had the worst customer service management approach I have ever experienced. I have been shopping at BJs for almost 2 decades and I honestly wanted to walk away from the company all-together because of my interaction with her.I called the corporate offices in Marlborough to try and get my situation sorted out. They apologized, listened, and proposed a solution to try and get the membership reopened. They also promised to follow up with me with a resolution. I have now spent hours trying to undo a mistake that this member services team made.I would like to say, however, that Katie in member services tried to help me as best she could when management was unavailable, and her efforts were noticed and appreciated.Hopefully this store can fix their management problems, but I will be finding a new club to shop at now.

So many inconsistencies with policy knowlege. I go to the service desk and they give me my membership number writen on paper and say as long as I pay cash i can get gas. I come back the next time and then the gas person says he can't do anything with the paper and I need the card. Doesn't tell me the next steps. I go back to the service desk to get a scannable barcode with the membership number they gave me and cant find me in the system.

The cashier named Maureen is extremely rude to customers and has an attitude. She argues with elderly and disabled customers. If I was management I would firer her immediately.

The gm of the store is a liar and a lazy excuse for a manager. I was using the express pay on the BJ's phone application. The transaction failed according to the app but $204 was taken from my account. I have supplied them with every bit of documentation that could reasonably be supplied so that they could rectify this. My financial institution has repeatedly stated that BJ's is the only one that can undo this. the general manager claimed that there was no transaction on record and that BJ's couldn't refund anything. I submitted documentation immediately back to her from my financial institution stating that not only did BJ's acknowledge the transaction but they put a hold on the amount of money and are still trying to process the transaction. At that point, she stopped responding. She promised that she would get back to me and she did not. the corporate customer service team is equally as incompetent. Not only should she not be in a position of any type of management responsibility, she should immediately lose her job. BJ's stole $204 for me and this piss poor manager is complicit.

Honestly, be mindful of Best Before/Expiration dates when shopping here. The number of times we've bought products from here only to realize later that it is already past the expiration dates is worrisome. The return process is straightforward thankfully. Now whenever we do shop here, we make sure to check everything's expiration date before even putting it into our shopping carts.The staff are friendly, but they seem understaffed. The app is actually useful to clip coupons to get a nice chunk of savings, so makes sure you go thru the coupons before/during your shopping visit. The main reason we go here is for the gas.
