This Cape Codder Resort & Spa location has closed

The Cape Codder Resort and Spa was once a beloved family-friendly destination, known for its reasonable room rates, on-site water park, and array of seasonal events and activities. However, the resort is currently undergoing a major transformation into the new Margaritaville Resort, a change that has not been met with universal approval. While the renovated rooms have been praised for their beautiful Margaritaville-themed decor and amenities, the overall experience has been mixed. The water park remains a highlight, but the lack of a fully operational restaurant and the high costs for access have been disappointments. Guests have also noted the ongoing construction and the resulting challenges in navigating the resort, with long walks and poor lighting in some areas. Despite these challenges, the staff has been commended for their attentiveness and accommodating nature, doing their best to assist guests amidst the ongoing changes. The resort's proximity to local attractions, such as beaches, lighthouses, and the marina, has also been a draw for visitors. As the Margaritaville Resort continues its transformation, with a planned completion date of November 2024, it remains to be seen whether it will be able to recapture the family-friendly atmosphere and appeal of the former Cape Codder Resort and Spa. For now, guests are advised to approach the resort with realistic expectations and a willingness to navigate the ongoing construction and changes.
