JP'S Twisted BBQ
485 W Main St, HyannisWe had food prepared for a retirement party tonight, and it was absolutely fantastic! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was — some even went back for thirds!
There was a great mix of options, and everything was spot-on! A few standouts were the wings, pulled pork and chicken but honestly, it was all excellent.
The food really helped bring the party together and made the whole event feel extra special. Huge thanks to Jay and Nancy who made it happen — we couldn’t have asked for better!

Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge
386 Main St, HyannisLucky to have found this place during a one night layover in Hyannis. Was easy to find -- the freshly made confections happening inside the store produced a lovely aroma that gently breezed through to the outdoor sidewalk. Fortunately, it was hot so I chose the ice cream and was pleasantly surprised by firm texture, deep flavor and consistency to the cream.

Anejo Mexican Bistro
599 Main St, HyannisFirst.
Best iteration of this establishment.
The building has had a few different names, mostly Mexican restaurants, over the past decade plus but after Anejo expanded to this location is has been a local hotspot, packed even in the offseason.
Second, the food is excellent. I wouldn't call it authentic mexican, more of a modern Mexican with authentic roots. Street tacos are killer, great margaritas, salsa is outstanding. However, it must be noted that you will spend money here, but it will be worth it.
If only visiting Hyannis for a short while, definitely a must stop.
Btw had the homemade churros with chocolate. O.M.G.
Update May '26: Still a great place to go. I had their Polblano Mole enchiladas today. Excellent! Very tasty.

Avila Puppies
Bearses Way, HyannisWhat a wonderful experience! Having never purchased a dog, I didn't know what to expect. After arrival, Mr. Avila walks you through the whole process. He spent a good thirty minutes telling me about my Maltese pup and going over all the paperwork. He even checked in the first two nights. You can absolutely tell he cares about his puppies. Watson, at 13 weeks is already the best puppy. Not one accident in the house! It took him no time to adjust to his new home. And I know that can be attributed to the care and attention that Mr. Avila puts into his puppies.
