Laughably bad experience here. 1 employee at 5pm. Showed up for my 5:15 appointment to see 10 people in line that had already been waiting 30 minutes or more. Watching people open the door and immediately walk out after seeing the lack of help and line.

38 minute wait in line (so far), no greeting upon arrival, no alert of how long the line might have to wait. “Just stop in to your local Xfinity store and pick up your new modem” they said. 8 people behind me and a staff of 3 who won’t make eye contact. Fail. FAIL.

I waited 40 minutes to drop off a modem that took less than 10 seconds to scan and hand back. The 3 staff members all saw me standing there with the modem in my hands. Not once did anyone say ‘let me scan that for you!’ Just stood there waiting and waiting! Thank goodness Verizon Fios came to Sandwich!!! Xfinity customer service is horrendous!!!

Hyannis store at CC Mall is the worst service I have ever seen!!! Was returning today (10-9-25) after being in line for an hour last week for a cable box and new modem it took forever 1-1/2 hours!! she couldn't answer my question about caller ID on my landline she said she didn't know what was wrong or what to do? Really? Felt very rushed she only wanted to sell me a cellphone plan that I didn't want..Today went back to return old modem and buy a booster. No way to do that but wait in line with eight other people waiting in line! Only one person working supposedly another worker in back room for already a half hour and only employee there said she was on phone in a weekly meeting!! Are you kidding me at 2:30 in the afternoon with 8 people in line?!! I Waited 1/2 hour and line never moved!! 3 people came in stood in line and said forget it and left as I did! Went back an hour later there was still 6 people in line and still one employee working!! All I wanted to do was return old modem and buy a booster..I'm not standing in line for hours ridiculous! Have no idea what to do with old modem now? Can't get them on phone either! And they wonder why everyone is leaving and streaming instead. Maybe if they paid people more they would have qualified help there!! Time to get rid of Comcast!!!

I never leave reviews but feel obligated to because it is such a nightmare! I went in for a router and cable box and one of the staff gave me a SIM card for a free wireless line that I did not want. I told her I didn’t need it and couldn’t use it but she said it’s already linked to my account and to bring it back in a year and she will cancel it. In a rush, I felt forced to take it so I just took it and left.
1 month later and I’m being billed for the “free” sim I never even used. She now claims it can not be cancelled by her and there’s nothing she can do. I asked her to cancel everything and she said she can’t do that either and I must call “the number.” Which I have tried several times for several other issues that they couldn’t help me with in the store, my cable still does not even work!
They are no help, they can fix NOTHING in the store, and I felt scammed into this wireless line like they were getting a kickback from it or something. It was shocking to see them turning everyone away and giving every customer the phone number to call. Horrible experiences over and over shop around before settling with this nightmare of a company

I must mention a great experience. I believe his name is Ash.. He quickly assigned a temporary number as my old carrier makes moving a number difficult. Look for guy with long hair.. And.... Why is he working alone.. omg hire people..

Extremely Disappointed with Xfinity at the Hyannis Location
I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered at the Xfinity store in Hyannis. I went in to transfer my mobile service from another provider to Xfinity, but the entire process was a disaster.
The staff kept sending me from one person to another—none of them seemed trained or willing to help. I was told I had to wait for the manager, so I waited. And waited. Two full hours. During this time, the manager sat at her desk chatting, laughing with a friend, and talking on the phone—not helping anyone. Three of us were waiting to be seen, and she ignored us completely.
Then, a couple walked in—clearly people she knew—and she got up right away to help them, skipping over all of us who had been waiting patiently. When I spoke up about this unfair treatment, her response was beyond unprofessional. She became rude and dismissive, looked at my phone for just a second, and said, “We can’t help you. You should just stay with the company you have.” She was yelling at me, completely disrespectful, after I had waited two hours for nothing.
I left feeling frustrated, insulted, and shocked that someone in a managerial position would treat customers this way. If this is how Xfinity trains or tolerates their staff to act—especially in a competitive market—they've lost a potential customer for good.

While I share the views of others that this store, and all Xfinity stores on Cape Cod, are understaffed, I want to heap some additional praise on Melinda who did a superb job of moving our two phones from AT&T to Xfinity. She is fast, accurate, and effective and all this in an industry that makes it hard to change from one carrier to another. That burden is managed by people like Melinda and very particularly Melinda. Well done!

I feel the store is understaffed. When you walk in you are not greeted at all and stand there waiting for someone to come over. Once you finally get to the register it’s been between 15-20 minutes. I have also made an appointment and you still have to wait. Comcast isn’t a great company but sadly it’s all we have for internet. The prices are too high and they take away channels and bundle it with another channel and then you need a new subscription. We had 2 properties and couldn't link the accounts; I had to cancel one, return equipment, and then reopen a new account. Back to the Hyannis store, one woman that we had was great, the others seemed as though they were frustrated with the amount of customers that came in a time. There are only 2 stores i could find, Hyannis or Plymouth.
