I got my hair done by Alyssa for the first time here and she was wonderful! My boyfriend came with me and got his hair cut and it looked great, too. Highly recommend her and the salon!

I showed the owner-stylist my license picture, which was a shoulder length bob. It was a clear, good picture, and the bob I had had done was perfect, and had grown out nicely. I had it done out-of-state. The license picture was a few years old, so my hair had grown long over Covid. At any rate, the owner did not listen to me and did a total hack job on my hair. My hair, again, just before Thanksgiving '21, was long, and she just hacked away at it like she had been using giant garden shears until it looked awful, and it was unmanageable. I didn't get a single compliment on my haircut, and to go from very long hair to shorter hair is dramatic. I will have to wait at least five months until my hair can be corrected. She charged me more that I was quoted on the phone for her own inability to achieve a simple, shoulder-length, bob hair style. I'll never darken her door, and she should have admitted her mistake and not charged me at all.

Absolutely disgustingly rude individuals; they would rather treat you like disgusting trash than anything else. They will constantly let you know about your skin color. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

Been taking my 2.5yo son here for the last 6+months. Alyssa has been amazing and given him a perfect style every time. She is beyond patient and never bats an eye when he's acting like the toddler he is. My husband now goes to her as well. Now I have two super stylish guys! Recommend this salon 100% for their service, quality and reasonable prices.

They always get my hair done correctly and they're always nice. Very professional staff and overall enjoyable place to get a hair cut. It's less expensive than most other salons too :D

I had a wonderful experience at Salon 36. It was a little pricey as far as a simple haircut goes, but it was well worth the money spent. I'm not 100% sure of my stylists name (maybe Ashley? She was a young blonde who has been there about 8 years), but she was so sweet and fun to talk to. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the decor was beautiful, and I was even taken 15 minutes before my appointment time. I rarely get my hair cut professionally, and when I do, I NEVER let them touch my bangs. However, this time I took a chance and let her do them. I'm so pleased with my hairstyle that I will be returning and would definitely trust her to cut my bangs again. A+

Cassandra is seriously the best. I've been going to her since I was maybe 10 years old, and she does an amazing job cutting (and occasionally coloring) my hair. I actually don't live close to Salon 36, and for a while I tried to find another salon near my home that I liked just as much. But I couldn't. I ended up going back to Cassandra and it's the best decision! I can't recommend her enough. It's totally worth driving 45 minutes to get my hair done just the way I like it.

In the tiny town of Ipswich is the "Cheers" of hair salons... where 'everybody knows your name.' On par with your favorite pub, come here to feel like family. My stylist always leaves ample time to cut my long hair AND blow it out. She makes the time fly with coffee talk and a genuine interest in my life. Their prices are reasonable and their stylists are remarkable. You are never just number here. You are a name, a face & a cute cut!

I've only ever gotten my eyebrows waxed here and it was my first experience. I've gone back twice now because Ashley is a absolute sweetheart. She made me feel so comfortable! Yes I'm 26 and have always done them myself at home but she does SUCH a good job it's worth going once a month. Everyone in there is super sweet and helpful. Highly suggest!

I've been seeing Suzy since they opened! She is always on time, affordable, and the salon has a welcoming atmosphere. I usually just go for cuts ($35) or the occasional wash/blowdry ($25.) The downtown Ipswich location is very convenient and with the public parking lot across the street, I can always park easily. I definitely recommend Salon 36 to anyone on the North Shore.
