My partner and I attended a 'Make your own wedding ring' class with Kylie and it was truly one of our favorite experiences in our whole relationship. This class is no joke, you truly create your own ring from scratch with expert guidance from Kylie. To say Kylie is amazing would be an understatement. She is so incredibly passionate about her work and more knowledgeable than we could have expected. We used old family heirlooms to create our rings which was a difficult process, Kylie went ABOVE AND BEYOND to come up with solutions to any issues and make us feel comfortable. She truly makes this program shine, almost as much as our rings did! We cannot recommend this class and Kylie enough!!

Had a fantastic experience today with Kylie as we made our wedding rings. Kylie is a wonderful teacher who has incredible passion for her work. I hope to one day find the same type of passion in my work as Kylie exudes in hers! The ring making class was a ton of fun and the rings came out great. Highly, highly recommend for anyone who wants to make the special day a bit more special.

My partner and I attended the ‘Make Your Own Wedding Ring’ workshop, and it was SUCH a special and unique way to commemorate our marriage and love. Kylie, the instructor, was absolutely amazing—so patient, skilled, and passionate about her craft. She guided us every step of the way, making the experience both fun and meaningful. The final rings exceeded all of our expectations, and we couldn’t be happier. It was such an incredible way to create something truly personal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and memorable wedding experience!

Making our wedding rings at a class at Stony Brook was genuinely SUCH a cool experience. Kylie is an amazing teacher and was so wildly helpful during the entire process. She is deeply knowledgeable. From our first call together to pick our gold, to the actual day-of, she always knew exactly what needed to be done and when. This also includes helping us fix any (inevitable) mistakes we made along the way! Neither I nor my fiance had done any sort of jewelry making before, and we walked away from this workshop with wedding bands we will cherish forever. Anyone can go buy their wedding rings, but it is such a cool additional layer to know that we spent the time, effort, and love to MAKE rings for each other. If you are even remotely considering this class, DO IT. I cannot recommend this class, or Kylie, enough!

My fiancé and I recently had the most incredible experience creating our wedding rings at Stonybrook Metal Arts and Sculpture School, and it was all thanks to Kylie's fantastic guidance! From the very beginning, Kylie's expertise shone through. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire process, from selecting the perfect metals to the intricacies of hammering and shaping the bands. What truly impressed us was her teaching style. Kylie patiently explained each step visually, making sure we understood the techniques before diving in. She never took over the process, but was always there to offer a helping hand or share her wisdom when we needed it. This hands-off approach, with guidance available at every turn, made the experience incredibly empowering and rewarding. The atmosphere at Stonybrook Metal Arts and Sculpture School was absolutely fantastic. It was a fun and creative space that perfectly complemented the experience of crafting our own wedding rings. We had a blast learning this new skill together, and Kylie's positive and encouraging presence made the whole process even more enjoyable. Walking away with not just one, but two beautiful sets of rings (a trial set and our final wedding bands) was a truly special feeling. But more importantly, we have the unforgettable memories of creating them together, thanks to Kylie's amazing instruction and the wonderful atmosphere at Stonybrook Metal Arts and Sculpture School. If you're looking for a unique and meaningful way to create your wedding rings, look no further than this fantastic school and request Kylie – you won't be disappointed!

Commissioned a custom aluminum casting from these folks, and I couldn't be happier. Their staff artists/craftspeople we're friendly and very knowledgeable, and the job was done to a high degree of quality at a reasonable price.

I did the 8 hour welding intensive this past Sunday. Great for someone who wants to start learning welding. Welding is a type of skill I feel you need an expert to show you the basics and teach you how to be safe when starting out. The class was pretty thorough introduction and I'm pretty confident I can get started on some small projects in my home shop.

An old friend is a prominent member and instructor, Dale Savit. This past fall we drove east for fall colors, clam chowder, and a couple of Dale's pieces. This is a great place to visit if you can, and hey, it's across a parking lot from Sam Adams brewery too!

I took the Intro to Stick Welding class. It was a fantastic experience! Very safety conscious training at a good pace. The instructor worked with each individual to help them advance their skills or, in my case, develop skills. 10/10 would recommend!

I enjoyed the class I took in stone carving immensely. Great experience working in an actual studio, surrounded by other students in a small class size which gave plenty of access to the instructor. A wide range of sculpture mediums and techniques are taught, from clay to stone to metal. A real and affordable jewel of a school.

This place is great. I went with a friend for the ring making class for two and had a really fun time. I am very much terrible at all things art, and the instructors helped me produce something that even my friends think looks like I bought it at a store. I don't even wear jewelry, but I am proud of the rings I made and have them on display. It was fun to learn the intricacies of even basic metal work and I hope to share my knowledge with more people.
