I visited the Branch to update my address and request a new debit card. The assistant manager, Stephanie Cooke, was rude and dismissive, questioning my request simply because the new address didn’t match the one on my (valid) driver’s license. I provided my Social Security number, but she still refused to assist me.
It wasn’t until I pulled up my bank account on my phone that she finally proceeded with the service. I also mentioned that I work in banking myself, and I’ve never treated a customer the way I was treated during this visit. I was left feeling disrespected and judged.
I understand procedures are in place for security, but the way I was handled was not right. Thank God I barely use this account — I’d rather keep my money somewhere I’m actually appreciated.

The lady told me she was a Manager but was rude to explain to me why she can’t cash a personal check I think she’s the new manager that’s not the nice manager I have before who help me
Professionally this one is rude and snob attitude atleast the other girl she try to explain to me in a nice way i thinks she’s kinda new I never saw her before…

They will never get my business. I went to them for a MASS SAVE heat loan only because the heating contractor recommended them and you can apply online. The only thing good about them is they are fast........ to turn you down. Don't bother l guess unless you make a lot of money. Even if you have really good credit it doesn't matter. They don't even do their due diligence and collect the proper documentation. The woman l talked to actually had the nerve to tell me l could try and get a co-signer. I'm a 50 year old man. I haven't needed a co-signer for any loan since like l was 16 buying my first car. And l've had plenty of loans approved. Even then there were no guarantees l would get the loan. So l did what l should have done in the first place and went to my own bank South Shore Bank. It took about a week, and some documentation and l was approved no problems. I don't even think Eastern should be in the heat loan program. They are NOT an equitable bank as they claim.

BEWARE!!! This bank "tells you" that you have overdraft protection on your checking account, tells you that there will be a $35 fee per transaction, and tells you that you will have 10 days to pay it back. They volunteer this info and entice you to use the overdraft protection. After 8 months with this bank they stole all my money in overdraft fees and sent ALL the items back, NOT PAYING ANYTHING!!! When I called them they said the overdraft protection is not guaranteed it's "up to their discretion. I trusted them and deposited cash in the atm to cover the items, not knowing they had not paid any of them (and I have their app on my phone). This bank stole ALL of my hard earned money with this scheme!!!
