Karen and Gail are both wonderful to work with. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to adopt cola. Everything from start to finish was smooth. I highly recommend them to anyone wishing to adopt

Last week I had to rush my 17 year old cat Beet to the VCA Plymouth after finding him unconscious barely breathing. I knew he was dying so I was in rough shape. The staff was very caring and helped me through a very difficult decision I never had to make before. They were able to help Beet pass peacefully with me by his side. They remained professional showing great bedside manner during Beet's final moments. What really blew me away was receiving a sympathy card with personalized messages from the VCA staff. they legitimately care and should be recognized for their actions. Thank You!

Great workers, so friendly and it’s obvious every pet in their care is well cared for. You can tell they truly care about the animals and in finding them the best homes ?

I normally never write bad reviews but the customer service here is completely lacking. We were looking into getting a cat and came by during open hours. A woman told us she didn't have any help and wouldn't be opening. (How much help is truly needed? The mall is a ghost town). Came back again yesterday and the 2 people working could not even make the effort to even say hello. We will be using a different adoption agency. There is a room full of cats and I can sadly see why. The volunteers think it's just time to bond w the cats and not try to get them into loving homes.

Supposed to be open from 10-noon and 4-6pm it's based on staff availability, which I understand, but they are closed every time I walk by during these hours and when I looked in the window today at 430pm, it was closed and there were 3 staff members sitting there doing nothing.

I filled out an application and inquired about one of the cats listed online. I also confirmed the hours and someone emailed me and said I could come down. I learned that the website hasn't been updated in quite some time. All three cats were adopted and I wasn't able to go into the room to see the cats either because I just filled out an application but yet no one told me. It was a big waste of my time. There were so many cats in the room and I could see why. The process is outrageous. I give up on all these adoption agencies and am now looking to buy. The very people who claim to want to help these animals are a detriment to their adoption.

Went in to try and talk to someone, lady did not get up, say hi, nothing. I asked her about the process as I filled about an application 3 days ago and did not hear anything, she stated they're under staffed and it could be a few weeks! A FEW WEEKS??? THEYD RATHER HAVE THESE CATS SIT IN A ROOM THEN BE ADOPTED INTO LOVING HOMES. completely crazy if you ask me.Employees deserve a 0/5

Nothing but good experiences so far. Happy to have switched to them! I've seen two different vets and they've both been very kind and knowledgeable. Pricing is reasonable as well.

I usally don’t write reviews as I feel that based on your day and the place you are reviewing, you both could be having a bad day. However I feel VERY disappointed in my experience with this shelter. My husband and I both took the day off to drive down to see a potential cat we wanted to welcome into our hearts and home. First off we arrived at 10am to wait outside the locked door while the workers literally ignored us till my husband said “ hello are you open” they said “ yes” then when back to ignoring us. Finally we spoke up again asking about the cat which they said was going home to a person who had adopted him. Once again going back to acting like we where not even there. I didn’t want to believe the reviews about this very treatment from other reviewers but we where literally treated as if we didn’t exist. I found the whole experience very sad because it’s like they make rash decisions about a person just by the cover. It made me feel very upset and hurt, also the cat they said was adopted is still on Petfinders and still available.

Let me start with saying I NEVER write reviews; but, felt compelled to after reading one about FoPP. I have had the pleasure of adopting 2 pets from FoPP. I am a life long farm girl who completely understood their thorough vetting process of applicants. The staff want these animals to find their forever, loving, committed homes! The volunteer staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about each pet under their care to help find the best fit for you, your family and the animals they are placing. They were super patient with me in taking the time to find the right fit for me and vise versa. What I mean by that is I went in to see a pet I had seen on line and was sure was "the One"; however, upon my arrival that pet has 0 interest in me! They took the time to let me find the adorable guy I wound up bringing home. Two years later when I was looking to add another pet family member I called and they said come on down. They actually remembered me and had me do just an abbreviated update to my original application . So, the review that I read that set off this glowing review of FoPP stated that the animals "don;t have much room to move around" While yes they do have pens this is for their safety. Had the person just asked, the staff knows their animals so well that certain groups have play time in the free space that has lots of toys. They just let them loose in groups that get along and in accordance with the animals comfort level. All in all I would strongly recommend adopting from Friends of the Plymouth Pound.

Let's start off by saying I have a very moody cat...and by saying "moody" I'm being nice. It's embarrassing bringing her to the vet...they put on the gloves to the elbows and she growls and hisses. Well my little angel was sick, and I needed help. I have no idea what Plymouth VCA did but you would never know this was my cat they examined! They were amazing...she was calm, not even a meow! They were so nice and I am so relieved with the treatment she received. The technician kept telling me how great she was. They told me I could take her back to her regular vet.....ummmmm no you are now my regular vet

Looking to adopt a cat. Would take any that needed a safe fun loving home. But got email telling me because I haven’t had my own pet in recent years (told them lived with and took great care of animals I lived with)that they are small rescue need complete vetting. Offered up my old vets info but to long ago I guess. Spent 25 years having many different animals. Told me to go to a larger rescue place. So I’m a good pet owner, have a -lace that allows animals and they won’t even meet with me for 5 minutes. Guess they think it’s better to have them waiting caged at the shelter. I have never written a bad review online. But hope they think about individuals and give them a chance to give a much needed home. Very disappointed.

They require you to have a fenced in yard. So only rich people can qualify for a doggoDiscrimination for every stripe but green.Guess they love keeping them caged at the shelter so they qualify for more federal and state grant money -Aaaand then ask the public (-especially ones they refuse for not having a fenced yard) for Donations.Epitome of Snobbery

Unfortunately this has been my second visit with this specific urgent care however I MUST say both times I have been absolutely blown away with the most patient, caring, compassionate, and excellent care for my pup. They truly show the upmost of care to both the animal and their OWNERS making you feel like you are the most important client in an office full of hurt or sick animals. I highly highly recommend them in every aspect of care. Thank you for having the compassion you do for these animals.
