Looked at a vehicle after hours last night and told him we’d be back this morning with the $500 cash deposit. Called at 9am and he said the car was already sold
Owner just called pissed about this real review and called me “outrageous” for being upset that he sold the car knowing we’d be back with deposit this morning. Zero integrity.
Owner is now threatening to take me to court over this honest and truthful review.

I live multiple hours away and was interested in purchasing a 2016 Toyota Tundra. Before making the trip, I specifically asked John about the condition of the frame, since rust is a well-known issue with these trucks. He assured me multiple times that there was no rust on the frame. Based on his word, I drove over two hours to see the truck. Before even getting in for a test drive, I crawled underneath it—only to find rust all over the frame, including spots where I could push my finger through weakened metal.
So, either John has never actually looked under the vehicles he sells, or he thinks lying to potential buyers is good business. Either way, I wouldn’t trust him to describe a car accurately. If he had just been honest from the start, I wouldn’t have wasted four hours of my day.
To make matters worse, after I left an honest review about my experience, John called me and left a long-winded, angry voicemail trying to justify his dishonesty. Apparently, he believes that because we live in New England, I should just accept rusted-out frames as “minor surface rust”—even when I can poke my finger through them. Newsflash, John: When metal is flaking off in chunks, it’s not just surface rust.
I’ve owned four Toyota trucks and was specifically looking to replace my current one because of rust issues. I know exactly what I’m looking at, and I don’t need a lecture from a dishonest salesman trying to cover his tracks. If John had simply told me, “There’s some surface rust, but nothing structural,” I would have made an informed decision. Instead, he outright lied, wasted my time, and then threw a tantrum when I called him out on it.
And for the record, John, if calling out blatant dishonesty makes me ‘brainless,’ I’ll gladly wear that badge—right after I find a truck from a dealer who actually tells the truth.

I had to buy a cheap car this winter and was looking at older Toyota Highlanders. I must have found the cleanest one in the state at Pro Auto, with a thorough carfax visible right on the ad. I test drove it and knew right away it had been well taken care of. John made it an effortless transaction (paying cash in full helps), filled out the RTA to my insurance there on the spot, two days later I was on a train to go get it. John picked me up, slapped the plates on and I'm good to go. Honestly the easiest car buying experience I've had, and I ended up with a GREAT car for a GREAT price. Based on how easy they were to work with, and quality and cleanliness of the vehicle (seriously, this thing is spotless) I wouldn't hesitate to keep them in mind for next time. Highly recommended.

A few weeks ago, I brought in my 2017 Subaru Outback (bought new in 2017) to Pro Auto to be detailed. Over the years I've had many cars detailed about once or twice a year. I have never had a better detailing job done; ever! They were PERFECT and my car looks and feels like it is brand new! Inside, outside; totally clean and shiny; down to the tiniest detail like the console and tiny cupboard. Honestly, I am so happy each time I climb in it. Amazing. These people are the best, as far as I am concerned.

I live in Michigan and bought a 2008 Lincoln Navigator from Jon over at pro auto Kingston. It was honestly one of the easiest transaction I ever did and I been buying cars out of state and sight unseen for over 20 years. The navigator is in beautiful shape just like Jon said and he made this sale so easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another car from them in future.
