“Saw the play Ellen's Boys at the Beal House. Victoria Bond is a tour de force as the shrewish Irish mother who doesn't like "eye-talians" and those of "Jewish persuasion". The playwright Jim Sullivan tackles the worst of the 1950s and 1960s in a lace curtained Irish home sprinkled with pictures on the wall of Jesus, the Virgin Mary and JFK . Funny at times, the cast delivered a powerful look at blatant prejudices that made me cringe. The only glimmer of hope was a ticket to NYC.”
“It was a clean, medium sized room. We didn't have decorations because of why we were there, so it was a bit loud because of the wood floor. I think if there were something to answer the noise, it'd be a great function room for a small/medium sized event. Stocked bar. Plenty of parking.”
“We could not be happier with our wedding ceremony & reception at Jones River Trading Post in December 2023. We went with the vendor package and it was so nice to have Michelle coordinating everything throughout the planning process. Everything about our night was lovely and we have had so many guests tell us that they loved the food & the whole experience of the venue. This place is a hidden gem on the South Shore. I loved the cozy set up with lots of plants, mood lighting, and a variety of seating available to guests while gathering around the dance floor. Cannot recommend this place enough!”
