I had the opportunity to support Uncommon Threads with an online purchase back in 2022 when the store received a donation of luxury Hermès scarves.
As you may know, Uncommon Threads Boutique has supported and empowered economically challenged women in the Lawrence area of Massachusetts since 2016.

What a great way to update your wardrobe while doing something good for others! I had the opportunity to attend a sip & shop and learn about the wonderful programs offered here but didn’t have time to shop during that visit. I returned with a friend on a Saturday and was absolutely impressed by the quality and selection available in the store. Not to mention the friendly and helpful staff. If you haven’t visited the Uncommon Good store, add it to your list!

It was an amazing experience. The staff was so nice and helpful. The whole experience really brightened my spirits. It's shocking how a spectacular outfit and some motivational, positive words can bring you from zero to a hundred and 20 percent instantly.

Uncommon Closet just may be my Kryptonite. I am a family clinician at COMPASS a nonprofit organization that provides services to an at-risk population of youth, adolescents and families, and every time I refer a client to Uncommon Threds I mentally prepare myself thinking “I will not buy anything. I will not buy anything.” In the end, my willpower caves, but the part that dissipates the guilt is how affordable and unique each piece in their shop is. I am not one for name brands and spending lots of money on material things which is why Uncommon Closet is so awesome. Every piece that is in their shop has such a unique personality and even high end name brands are reasonably priced. The best part is knowing that each purchase helps support their “not your average clothing program” which lifts low-income women (including include domestic violence survivors, disabled women, female veterans, homeless women, women in recovery, and the elderly) up by using clothes and style as tools for increasing self-worth.
