Nice store with much of what I need in a hardware store. My one gripe was that I went to buy some screws and after getting home I found 2 of the three I bought had been placed in the wrong bin so I have to go back and swap them

Shattuck Ace Hardware in Lexington, Massachusetts is a wonderful old fashion hardware store where “good service” still matters. Anytime I go into this store I am greater warmly and professionally. The staff is so friendly and helps me find even the simplest smallest items I need. Their key making service is the best one around and I would not go anywhere else. Store is Very well stocked and has very friendly and helpful employees! There's a whole bmt level so it's larger than it looks! Store is VERY neat, clean, and organized!

Why did they sell me a water softener as an ice melt? I googled the effectiveness of water softeners for melting ice and it’s not good. I wasted a ton of money on this stuff just to have an iced driveway.

“I seriously appreciate Mark at Shattuck Ace Hardware. He is friendly, knowledge and always goes out of his way to make sure I get what I need when I need it; or as best he can. He has moved mountains for me. The staff is friendly and they seem happy to work there - I never feel like I am a burden or annoying them. They also offer unique services like free assembly of snowblowers. With the loyalty program I often get things for less than anywhere else.
