April 2023 by Kailey M.
Edit- wrote this Sunday, April 2 right after I walked out at 10 on the dot. Never got posted, guessing because of bad service, but keep in mind I wrote this right when I left since I felt the need! Absolutely horrendous customer service- more than that it was straight up disrespect and i'm honestly shocked and disgusted that the people closing tonight still have jobs here. I came in with 10 minutes to spare before they closed since there's nothing in this area that's open late to grab a drink as I am working late and took a quick break to come get a drink, I had a few good coupons and noticed lots of yellow tags indicating sales hidden the beauty and personal care section and a am in need of some new products so I was wasting the 10 minutes they had to cut till closing and I had for my break browsing before I bought my drink and I actually found quite an expensive hair care product that I decided I would grab along with deodorant that I needed as I was doing this someone came out from the back and it said we're close but first of all it wasn't 10 PM yet and second of all every Walgreens I've been in the lights shut off when they close and the lights were still on then checked my phone and insured that it was not closed and he said we close in one minute and I said OK thanks and this person said thanks and walked away. I took my stuff and walk to the cooler grab the drinks but before I could even get the drink out of the cooler, a announcement came over the intercom and this is where it gets good I'm assuming it was the same person who had just seen me and told me they were closing in a minute and who I told them thank you as I was obviously walking towards the front I wasn't just sitting there browsing or anything, and I was very aware of the time as I purposefully wanted to spend a few minutes browsing until they closed and they get on over the intercom and said, and I quote, "Walgreens is closed, customer get out now or you'll be terminated". No, I thought to work in customer service. You had to have customer service skills and at least an ounce of respect for other human beings. I certainly wouldn't think that anyone in customer service would perhaps threaten the only customer in the store. I'm not sure what they meant by terminated, but That very well could be taken as a threat as it was not a joke, and it was saying I'm not trying to be a stickler. I could totally understand if I had to just talk to this person and they saw nobody was in the store and the employees were just messing around with That announcement but they were completely serious as at this point I was right up front at the last quarter closest to the register where this person was then standing with another employee and they weren't laughing or anything. The other employee didn't say anything about this guy's choice of Words or his tone or anything so I'm guessing they're used to him talking like this or they all don't know anything about customer service or being mature working adults I thought for a second maybe it was a different person who didn't see me and when I walked up into their site line, they would've apologize for at least said we can ring you up over here ma'am did you find everything you were looking for or something like that anything really but nope nobody said a word to me they continued standing there doing absolutely nothing but making me feel uncomfortable. A third employee appeared and they said something to them about making sure I was the only one left- yes they talked about me right in front of me as if it's a crime to be spending close to $50 right before closing on an expensive hair product I picked out quickly (since I knew I had a coupon and it was a product I use and wanted), a thing of deodorant I needed, and a friggen Red Bull to help me stay awake working late. It would be one thing if I blatantly ignored the employee who told me they were about to close and continued browsing but at that point if I

Pharmacy staff doesn't like working until closing hours, and starts to turn customers away around 15 minutes early. Staff chats with each other, studiously avoiding customers waiting in line as they give up in frustration. No store manager to complain to. They work for a different division. Unaccountable. Avoid.

I had an appointment to get a Covid booster at the Lexington, MA Walgreens (60 Bedford Street) at 9:30 AM on October 4, 2021. When I arrived at the store I was told there was no Covid vaccine available. I understand there can be supply chain issues. However, I am very disappointed that no one at Walgreens bothered to notify me (or any other patients) who had appointments. Walgreens obviously had my phone number and email address from when I made the appointment.

This Lexington Walgreens pharmacy had long been my first choice for convenient parking and drive-through service. However, they lost me this week by turning me away 10 minutes before closing time for a COVID booster walk-in shot. I had patiently waited my turn for 5-10 minutes but nobody was helping customers. There were four people behind the counter but they were all too busy chatting amongst themselves or doing clerical work. An elderly gent with a cane in front of me in line gave up in frustration. When it was my turn, they started asking me for the usual data, but then the pharmacist said it would take too long and he didn't want to break a vial. I came back the next day and the same pharmacist was there, this time with his mask hanging down under his nose. I turned tail and went to the Arlington store to get my COVID shot and they were as nice and efficient as could be and I was done in less than 5 minutes. My wife had also complained about problems with the Lexington pharmacy, being kept waiting for 20+ minutes in the vaccine room, waiting for a flu shot. They had forgotten about her, it seems.

BEDFORD STREET LEXINGTON LOCATION gets one star because YELP doesn't allow zero stars. On hold for 25 mins and 23 seconds and just got disconnected. Had an important question re: Covid booster vaccine which their Covid auto response feature could not handle. Requested pharmacy thru this system, got transferred and 26 minutes later, here I am, disconnected and discontented. I may have lucked out as I didn't check Yelp for this Walgreens rating before unsuccessfully trying to get an answer so I could schedule a booster vaccine appointment with them. Too many ONE STAR REVIEWS for me to chance my health with them. Tx to everyone here for the heads-up. Looking up CVS now.

They filled a prescription twice with some one else's medication. When we shared this the tech Nelly suggested it was our fold for not reading and reporting it immediately. Not until the manager got involves the pharmacists made the effort to come over and acknowledge the seriousness of their mistake twice over. We changed to CVS!

I generally find CVS to be superior to Walgreens. In Lexington, this is the opposite. In comparison to the small CVS with extremely limited parking in Lexington Center; Walgreens, located closer to Route 128 adjacent to Stop&Shop is perfect. This store is located on Route 4 / 225 with a huge parking lot. The store is extremely spacious; considerably more than CVS. Generally speaking, regularly prices are less than CVS and the service is more prompt since it is less busy. Selection is greater; as is customer service. I found exactly what I needed here and was in and out within about five minutes. Staff are friendly and I found this place to be completely hassle-free. No, it's not a perfect store, it's still not as big as some other pharmacies I have been to, and the floor was not as clean as I would have liked. Tiles are all cracked. Overall, it's a good store and where I would suggest to go for a pharmacy in the Lexington area. 4 stars.

This Walgreens location doesn't honor online flu shot appointment times.Got an appointment time online. Filled out all of the paperwork online. Showed up 10 minutes early as suggested by confirmation. When I showed up there were 6 people in the vaccine check-in line. No priority process for appointment folks. Stand in line behind people without appointments to check-in. When I finally got to check-in, told them I had an appointment and had filled out the online paperwork. After several minutes of typing by the clerk, was told "sit in waiting area" and we'll bring out your paperwork. Waiting area was jammed with people, but OK....wait 15 minutes. It is now almost 30 minutes past my appointment time. Clerk comes out and says "here is your paperwork", which is the same generic questionnaire I filled out online, and the same one which non-appointment folks get. I'm wondering....why didn't you just give that to me when I was talking to you earlier? And why did the website say "filling out this form in advance will save you time at the appointment."? Now wait in line again to return the paperwork to the cashier. In the meantime, folks who didn't have an appointment are loading up in line for the actual flu shot. By my estimate, I will get my flu shot somewhere around 45 minutes or longer past my appointment time, and it is only because folks who don't have an appointment have equal priority as those who do. I had enough and had to get somewhere else before it closed. Dropped off the clipboard with the questionnaire and said "See ya!".Gave them one star as it would be easy for them to create a clearly delineated system whereby folks who have an appointment go to the head of the line. But they seem to prefer chaos there.

I've used this place for recurring medications with long lead times before. I would order on the app and pick up in 3-4 days. This is the first time I was extremely sick and in need of a medication in a crunch. My doctor prescribed an antibiotic in the early afternoon and I assumed I would have it by the time Walgreens closed. Come to find out there was a drug interaction. I explained to pharmacist my doctor tells me to stop taking drug in question whenever I need to. Not good enough. After a long night of needless suffering my doctor calls pharmacy first thing and waits on hold 15 minutes before hanging up and faxing over note. Some 3.5 hours later still no Rx. I drive to pharmacy and manager tells me they haven't even thought of getting to it because "we are doing over 100 flu shots today." He says this in a very proud way as if it is a big revenue generator and sick people do not matter.I guess the moral of the story in these very trying times for sickness is this pharmacy takes days off to do flu shots. I guess their pharmacists are doing the injections?I really don't know, but I got left out to dry and you just may too if they have something more important to do. They may never even pick up the phone...

This store is not safe. I went in today to (ironically) buy masks. One of the workers was near the door not wearing her mask. I'll go somewhere else. I am really disappointed.

Brought film in to get developed and a month later they had called me twice to say they were ready and I went in and they had lost them two different times and when they finally found them I only had half of my photos. Never using their photo service again.
