Codman Community Farms is a valued community farm that supports local agriculture and promotes respect for animals and the land. It offers educational opportunities for all ages and hosts fun community events, making it a great place for families and visitors to enjoy. Visitors appreciate walking around the farm, seeing the animals in their natural environment, and exploring the self-service farm store, which features local produce and locally made products like honey, butter, and specialty meats such as Codman Kilbasa and Pepper Bacon. The farm also provides small plots for those interested in growing their own food. While prices are higher due to the quality and local sourcing, many see the farm as a better alternative to factory farms, which are often polluting and receive large subsidies. The farm is supported by local tax dollars and is open for self-pay shopping, making it accessible and convenient. Visitors enjoy the farm as a place to meet friends, let children play, and enjoy outdoor activities, including picking up fresh ingredients and local treats. Despite some critiques about customer service, Codman Community Farms remains a beloved spot for food lovers, families, and community members alike.
Worth the drive for many unique offerings and pleasant surrounds. Nearby walking trails complete the experience.
