What a hidden gen and must-see attraction in beautiful Lincoln, MA. We didn't enter the museum as it happened to be closed this last Sunday, but for a reasonable entry price were able to purchase a delicious lunch and leisurely walk around the Sculpture Park on a Sunday afternoon when I'd expect there to be crowds / foot traffic. I'd encourage anyone in the MetroWest area to check out the deCordova Park, especially on a warm or sunny day.

I'd actually give it 3.5 I didn't like it for two reasons: most of the sculptures didn't appeal to me, and dealing with two outdated maps was extremely frustrating. First, it's a taste issue, and probably unfair to judge, but what it comes down to is that I didn't enjoy my visit. The two maps were the online version (outdated) and the printed version (even older.) The maps include sculptures' former locations and sculptures that aren't even there anymore. We figured this out on our own. A note with the online version and a verbal clue given by the staff member who handed us the maps would have been very useful.

The deCordova museum is a beautifully landscaped park with a variety of interesting sculptures dotted around the place. The sculptures range from charming to challenging, intriguing to amazing. Having taken kids, I can also report that it's good for all ages.Obviously, since it's outdoors, it's not ideal in bad weather. The gift shop, which they did wisely place indoors, is pretty fantastic, and may have inspired a couple of visits even when we didn't plan to see the sculptures. There's also a nice cafe, although not worth a trip all by itself, like the museum or gift shop.

This sculpture garden and museum are absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend coming in the fall because you are really surrounded by the beautiful trees changing color and the magnificence of the nature that really made this visit so worth it. HOWEVER, during the time that I went, there were kids swarming everywhere. Kids can be lovely and super cute.. Totally get it. But on the day that I went, all I could hear was screaming children who were running around everywhere. A fellow ongoer literally looked at me in the middle of taking pictures, and we had a 5 min conversation about how many kids were there that day. Anyways, as I ran in any direction away from the chaos, there were several moments in time that were extremely peaceful and really did get the relaxation of being able to view the sculptures and appreciate the art. I would highly recommend going on the weekend and visiting their coffee shop there. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

This really I wonderful place. We brought our 5 and 8 year old grandchildren. They enjoyed the sculptures and walking (sometimes running) the grounds, as there seems to something interesting at every turn. The indoor museum was closed, so no comment on that. BTW, the restaurant was reasonably priced with very good choices and well made tasty items.

This outdoor artist sculpture park was intriguing and very interesting. Unfortunately, the indoor galleries and museum are closed until 2026! There are plaques on the sculptures with QR codes which made the tour a bit more interactive, but some of the plaques were old and crackled so the QR codes didn’t work. Needs updating. I’d love to go back when the indoor galleries and museum are open, sad that I must wait so long…

Great space to bring your dog. Plenty of space to walk around, sit on the grass and enjoy the art. The tickets are slightly cheaper if you buy online in advance but you can always buy at the entrance

What a magical place!! A great mix of sculptures from different disciplines of art and a diverse range of artists. The grounds are immaculately kept, the various sizes of sculpture are planned around the grounds meticulously. Each pieces feels at home and the stroll to view each is easy and great for conversation. This will become a goto for visitors and when I need to decompress.

This was a super fun and unique experience. I came here on a weekday, and there was no wait to get inside. I have an NARM membership, so I was able to get in for free, although I would have paid the normal rate. There were so many beautiful sculptures - big, small, modern, fun, confusing even! The grounds were beautifully maintained. They even have a wheelchair accessible path for patrons to follow. It is located next to a large pond, so I definitely recommend bringing bug spray!

Although a central mansion and museum building is closed to exhibitions at the moment, the outdoor grounds at deCordova remain open. It's a gloriously landscaped 30-acre campus - the largest sculpture garden in New England, in fact - that was blooming with late spring color when I visited, and, for the most part, was very accessible, save for some steep slopes. There may be up to 60 works on display at any given time, some of them site-specific and some of them temporary. Familiar names might include Sol LeWitt, Beverly Pepper, and Jaume Plensa, while other works might feature up-and-coming New England artists. A perfect, family-friendly and insta-friendly activity as part of a day trip through the region - especially if you enjoy art and sculpture.
