A wonderful outing for a snowy New England Sunday. The home has been meticulously cared for and is a must see if you are interested in architectural history. The items on display are original to the architect as the home transitioned directly to a museum after the owners passed. You truly feel like you are stepping back in time. Helpful tips: Buy your ticket online ahead of time, or better yet buy an annual Historic New England pass and see this and all of their sites for no entry fee. Note that the only restroom onsite is a portable toilet. There is minimal parking so carpool!

We stopped in today hoping for a tour and wow did we get a tour!!!! Our wonderful docent David was beyond knowledgeable about the home and its occupants. He was a pleasure to listen to and he was extraordinarily patient as we took photos and asked questions. This is a home with some gorgeous furniture and art in the Bauhaus style. The home is artfully and thoughtfully decorated by Walter's wife and daughter after his passing. What a wonderful legacy to leave to the public who can learn and appreciate a time of simple pleasures and classic style. This is a well worth the money...it's comprehensive but still highly engaging. We found it stunning in all aspects. Highly recommend!!!

A fantastic museum that I highly recommend going to. This is the pinnacle of 1930s modern architecture and design.

Yes, very worth going. The tour was intimate and informative. Kanye is right. I was disappointed with how it looked on the outside, but took away a lot of ideas for the interior spaces for my own home.

An awesome house museum, with a subpar guide. This was our fifth Historic New England House. The building was beautiful to experience inside and outside. There a rich history as usual. Unfortunately the host we had let much to be desired. She kept telling the entire group that she had to 'keep an eye on my daughter and I'. Also repeatedly mentioning that we had to stay with the group, which we always did, meanwhile she didn't haggle other group members who lingered behind. This was so annoying, that my daughter and I almost left the tour. She left out key details about the house, namely the significance of important paintings and interesting décor. It would have been better if the tour had been self guided with audio.

Part of Historic New England, this architectural example of "mid-century modern" was only mildly interesting to someone who grew up surrounded by the same. The young architectural students on the tour were quite taken by it, however. Not elder or handicapped friendly in the slightest; long periods of standing, decent was very soft spoken and said she was unable to speak any louder. She also kept pointing out that you can see and hear all about it on its website.Unless you are a student of architecture or mid-20th century history, spare yourself the visit and check the website instead.

Honestly not much to see, reminded me of a creepy house you'd see out in the hamptons or something. Also not much area to walk around and see.

not a large amount of land to checkout. no crazy garden or anything. seeing the outside was enough to get a kick out of without needing to pay the admission to see inside --when there's pics of the inside online. weird vibes overall. would not rush back.

Beautiful house from the founder of Bauhaus. Love this place. The guide is so informative and I learned so much. It’s also close to Walden pond, Minute men park, de corva sculpture museum and Concord, so very easy to include it in a day trip! Historic New England did a really great job and aside from usual tours there are also special events.

Nicely kept grounds surrounding a well maintained example of contemporary design home. Small parking lot make this one of historic New England's more difficult sites to visit by car. Bike access is good however there is no bike rack.

Beautiful architecture and a very informative tour! I came with my architectural class and everyone loved it. It's also in close proximity to a Chick-fil-A, so hit that up on the way home and you'll have a great day!
