“I want to completely correct my previous review and sincerely apologize to John and Jake’s Collision Center. My first review was written out of frustration, stress, and anger after dealing with this claim for months, and I directed that frustration toward the wrong people.

The biggest source of my frustration throughout this entire experience has been Progressive and the insurance claim process. In my experience, there were repeated disagreements over repair costs, supplements, labor and parts, and what Progressive was willing to pay. The process dragged on for months and put me under tremendous financial and personal stress while my vehicle remained unrepaired.

John and Jake’s Collision Center were caught in the middle of that situation. John continued communicating with Progressive, explaining the disagreements to me, providing detailed documentation, and working to find a solution. Even after all the back-and-forth, John continued trying to reduce what I would have to pay out of pocket.

Progressive ultimately chose to pay for several uncertified aftermarket parts, and John was transparent with me about the potential fitment concerns. I appreciate that honesty because he made sure I understood exactly what was happening rather than simply installing the parts without explaining the situation.

Looking back, I realize my anger should not have been directed at John or Jake’s Collision Center. I was exhausted and frustrated by the insurance process, and unfortunately the shop received the blame in my first review.

John, I sincerely apologize for that review. Thank you for your patience, professionalism, communication, and for continuing to work with me despite everything that happened.

If you are dealing with an insurance claim, especially one involving disagreements between the insurance company and the repair shop, understand that the shop may not be the reason your repair is being delayed. My experience taught me that lesson the hard way.

He explained everything, made sure we were all taken care of, and got me, my three kids, and our car safely back to Watertown. His calm and caring demeanor made such a difference during a moment when I was completely overwhelmed.

“Groton Collision Repair is the best! My ex drove it into another car and he took it to his friends to “fix” it. They made the passenger side door able to open, but left it pretty banged up. I brought it to Groton Collision and they said I needed a new door and fender, and I told them I needed her back by Thursday. On Wednesday morning she was ready to be picked up, AND she was so clean (& her rims were sparkling). They also buffed out some scratches on my driver side door for free. “I've used this shop multiple times when I had flat tire and the service is always honest and prompt. In one case I went to another big franchise shop because it was close and they immediately tried to up-sale me (they said you need a new tire and we'll not fix a whole). I left that shop and went straight to Craig again and he fixed it without any issues. Highly recommend this local shop and Craig.”

“My daughter’s car broke down on a Sunday night on the side of a highway and I went to meet her. After waiting an hour and a half for my insurance company’s roadside assistance to give me some kind of update (not happy with them!), I started calling around on my own. After some unpleasant and not very helpful calls and beginning to worry we might not find anyone, I called Ferreira’s and hope re-entered the night. The dispatcher was friendly, ensured she got all the right info and assured us someone was in the way. The driver arrived and was extremely helpful and towed it to a location closer to home. He was familiar with that location and talked me through how that particular place handles overnight drop offs. I hope I never need a tow again, but if I do, Ferreira’s is now in my contact list! Thanks for bailing us out!”

I broke down towing my boat. Couldn't get the tire off the trailer, and couldn't get the spare tire of the mount of the trailer. The owner and the tow truck driver came out in the rain in the mud and changed the tire. They were awesome 2 nice guys.”
