Laura is amazing. However, the bank is horrible to clear payments and receive payments. They need to get better at customer service as well. When you call the general number seems like they don’t know or they don’t have a department with a higher knowledge??? Very frustrating!

Extremely poor customer service. Can never reach a live person over the phone with questions about loans or checking accounts. My loan payment is due today and I always pay ahead so when I logged in on the day of for the first time and saw that my payment was marked passed due on the day of and it was doubled came as a surprise to me even though my loan is withdrawn immediately from my checking account.Needless to say, I paid double even though it was not in my budget and my next payment isn't due for 2 months.I understand that the extra payment was credited to the following month but again, it was not factored into my budget for my bills this month.I can't reach anyone and I've been calling for an hour. I need to understand how a payment is considered past due on the day of.Also, every time I walk into the branch they say they never have time unless you're opening an account.Seems a bit off to me and is just bad business. I'll definitely be looking into another banking alternative once this loan is paid off. WCU will not see my money ever again!

If there was an option for no stars. I probably would have chosen that option. I never give bad reviews, though I don't speak about the company as a whole due to not going to use its other banks (workers' Planit credit union) than Bridge St. Lowell. If you are to do business there, save all receipts of business. Save anything and everything. The number of errors that were made in a single matter is beyond disgusting. What I had to do to clear my credit due to their negligence is DISGUSTING. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISGUSTED, and I'm one for everyone makes a mistake. Though every single employee working on my case made mistakes.I highly advise if you have to choose another bank because Lowell, MA Bridge St. Make too many errors. They are very nice people, but there are too many errors. Sorry, it doesn't always make it right either.

I met with Laura C to open an account. She was absolutely fantastic. I was apprehensive about using a new credit union but she made the experience so easy and explained every step of the way.

I've been a member of workers credit union for over seven years, they are getting more and more difficult to work with, customer service doesn't know their ass from their elbow. I'm trying to close my account, they give me the runaround. Tell me I can't do it over the phone I have to do it in person or contact a representative at a branch on the phone for 20 minutes today and they told me yeah you have to come in the office. I wired the money and I asked them to wire the money out. Still tell me they can't help me. I will go there and close the account. I prefer a DCU or J'Darc

I made an appointment to meet in person hopefully to open a savings account. I brought my passport, drivers license, and social security card! As well as current mailing, lease agreement, and car registration I just so happen to have with me. It didn’t occur to me until after my appointment that I realized the individual assisting me did everything he could to not have me open an account with here. Our meeting took longer than usual and he was demanding I provide him with very personal and sensitive information that wasn’t relevant to opening the account! After providing him with pdf’s emailed to him containing my personal bank statements (account numbers included) he told me my application would need to be reviewed further? I asked why, I’ve provided you with more than enough documents, his reply was “some people need more looking into.” I from what I’ve heard about this bank it’s a great place to start investing or a relationship with! My only issue and (warning to others) is be cautious of who they’ve hired. The gentleman’s name was Abel Martinez, and I’d ask that WCU train workers to remain professional when at work and leave any personal biases at home or in their private lives. I was denied not because of documentation, or ability to make a deposit… but “Discrimination that’s ugly, but true and also very sad.Discrimination: noun 1. the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex.”
