“I love this place, the staff is great, the clothing is organized by sizing, color.
I will have one complaint: if you’ll open the bathroom for the public some will spend more time and more money in the store.”

“I had such a wonderful experience with the owner of the shop. She’s absolutely incredible. I first found her on TikTok and I followed her. She was so friendly and made it very easy to shop. I chose a wonderful bag that I’m very happy and excited to receive I definitely recommend 10 out of 10.”
“We were visiting from out of town and happened upon this thrift store. To me, this store is everything I love about thrifting. It's small enough to not be overwhelming, they stock a great variety of items, the prices are incredibly cheap which keeps inventory moving, the staff are friendly and an extra bonus that my toddlers could play in the toy section without me feeling like that was discouraged. I can't wait to visit again!”
“Great spot to shop. I always find some items (mixing bowl set, trinket dish, beautiful sweater, ribbon, a vase, log-holding rack, jewelry...) I need and the prices are very good. Plus, the proceeds go to a great cause.”

“Closet Connection is one of my favorite places to shop. The owner is absolutely amazing and has helped me find several incredible gifts for my wife through her personal shopping recommendations. Every single time I come in, I walk out with something she loves, it never fails.
The selection is fantastic, with beautiful, unique pieces you don’t find anywhere else, and everything is in great condition. What really sets this store apart is the personalized service. The owner genuinely takes the time to understand what you’re looking for and makes shopping easy and enjoyable.
I can’t recommend Closet Connection enough if you’re looking for great finds and exceptional customer service.”
“An eclectic wonderland! Witch City Consignment is such great mix of antiques and kitschy/witchy finds. I love scouring through the aisles and bins for unique finds and great deals! They definitely embrace the Salem energy with creepy decor, which makes it such a fun addition to any trip to town. The staff and service are also super friendly and welcoming- definitely worth a trip!”
“Open since 1978 with only 9 reviews? They deserve more! I can't believe I haven't visited sooner. This is a HUGE church thrift store with super affordable prices. They were having a half-off clothing sale so shirts that were already only $4 were $2! Some t-shirts were 50 cents. I got some blank t-shirts, wool vest, wool Eddie Bauer sweater, some LL Bean button downs, and a couple nice pewter candlesticks for only $40 total. I passed on a couple beautiful things there like a long wool Calvin Klein coat and Coach purse that were a steal. They have lots of housewares and craft items but unfortunately not many books or records. Their hours are limited but it's a must-stop if you're into thrifting. Such a better experience (and better prices) and Goodwill or Salvation Army plus all proceeds benefit the church.”
“Every time I've been to Goodwill they've been very helpful to me! Cashiers are very friendly very helpful if you need something? And cheerful attitude! This is the kind of thing I would love to see for every business! But the Goodwill where I've gone to in Boston definitely is all that and a bag of chips! ??”
“I called them today, because I wanted to find out how I can donate some clothes and etc to them. Very nice woman on the phone explained the process. I showed up with my donations a few hours later. Very nice people at donation drop off as well.”
“In short:
Purely for the thrift selection- probably 3/5.
The staff- more than 5/5 above and beyond. I’m writing this in the parking lot because I’m really that impressed.
SCROLL for actual thrift takeaway after
******
Their staff to me is reason enough to come back. I was greeted quickly even though it was clear they were busy between stocking, phones, customers etc.
Their mission benefits those in need in Salem (sort if it’s no just Salem!). This clearly includes people with sustance use issues and chronic mental heath conditions, and many clients without housing. In the ~hour I was there I saw several people who were getting items for free which would make me feel great about donating here.
An older woman who was working saw me looking at scarves and let me know where others were. I later saw her helping a woman (who was not being very friendly to her) find items in her size. She did this while going back and forth stocking the racks.
MICHAEL at the front desk is pretty amazing. He clearly has experience dealing with people with the aforementioned issues. I was super impressed with both his patience and kindness- but also with his ability to be firm and keep the situation in control with difficult clients. At one point he was ringing my items up, helping a client who was very erratic get her things together, and picking up items a different customer dropped. It is a very unique skill to try to serve both clients that have needs face to face and aren’t necessarily friendly or compliant, while also dealing with the general customer. He also explained how Lifebridge works and what your donations benefit. He is a real asset to the organization.
**** Actual THRIFT review below ***
There’s definitely some good items and some gems, but personally I think the pricing is a little out of touch on some items. They have the “boutique” where items are sold by tag $, then the general selection is by set price ie $10 for dresses.
There were a lot of boutique items I thought were crazy high for what they were- ie $18 for a pilled sweater, Primark dress for $12, which has to be pretty much what it cost new, $20 for Calvin jeans. I’d probably bring the set prices down a little bit ie $8 for dresses or $3 for bin items ($5 now) to balance it out- but I very much understand they need to make money and have competition from places like Goodwill that are grossly overpriced.
They have very well priced dishes, books, etc. Nice artwork. I scored today as they have a $5 sale on winter coats- got 3. They seem to get a good bit of donations from older people I’d guess- more vintage than a lot of spots I’ve been to lately which is great.”

“You can find good dishes. I can only be in there for about 30 minutes before my face starts breaking out in hives. That’s when I know it’s time to go very dusty.”
“I love this thrift store! I’m a big fan of thrifting but so many of the thrift stores I once went to have gotten way to expensive. However, this goodwill still has standardized pricing across each type of item which makes a world of a difference. If you have donations, bring them here! The staff is kind and I’ve gotten some great finds. (Shout out to the woman who listened to my rant about how expensive savers has gotten)”
“I just love this store...
And let me tell ya this place is hoppin on most days ..
I like it because you can come across some really fantastic finds , great prices,
And ...they also have these bins in the back of the store where u can go through them and buy things for even cheaper but it's not in the store it's like down and around the building a little.. ask for the Warehouse with the bins.
Thank you to the staff to...
Definitely check it out...”
“I think this is my favorite Savers. All Savers have high prices (4 stars) - some stuff at TJ Maxx/Marshalls brand new is cheaper, but if you're looking for things to up cycle (I sew) or older things (my kids want old clothes) it's great. This is the most well stocked and organized Savers I've ever been to. Staff were really nice!”
“So, so glad this is an option here in Lynn! Amazing mission and Wednesdays are 20% off your entire purchase! Love it! They have $5 racks as well as clearance at $1 per clothing article. They have gorgeous selection of evening wear and even wedding dresses! The wedding dresses I saw were about $100 each but again, they have discount days. They have some hand selected items that cost a little more at $10-20 depending on brand. They also have furniture, lots of book, and some media selection. Affordable and very friendly staff, already went twice and plan to add into my rotation of places to visit when in the mood to shop.”
