Hello. My name is Richy. I’m most known as a Spartan Racer. I have backgrounds in MMA. I’m also a Deka Strong Champion. A Virtual Boston Marathon Finisher and My passion is my training system. Gorilla Richy Training Systems. The Lynn YMCA is not just a gym. It’s about the amazing people. The good vibes. The amazing staff. The helpful trainers. The everyday kindness of the amazing community. I’ve trained at many gyms. This gym has it all. Home away from home.

The YMCA is a gem! I love the incredible variety of classes they offer—there’s truly something for everyone, whether you're into strength training, yoga, or high-energy cardio. The instructors are top-notch, bringing passion and expertise to every session.
The facility itself is spacious and well-equipped with modern gear that makes every workout feel smooth and efficient. But what really sets this place apart is the staff—especially at the front desk. They’re consistently welcoming, helpful, and make you feel like part of the community from the moment you walk in.
My absolute favorite class is Latoya’s Beats and Bikes spin. When she pulls out her special notebook and fires up her jamming playlist, you know you're in for a ride. Her energy is contagious, and she somehow makes every class feel like a party on wheels.
If you're looking for a place that combines great people, great workouts, and a great vibe—this is it. 🚴♀️🎶💪

Everything is great. I love the locker rooms, nice and clean, and most of all it leads to the pool area. I have not tried the sauna. Will do, next time..

YMCA has come a lonnnnnngggggg way. Does it need additional tweaking, sure, more time options for class, so can enjoy the other amenities. But, things that need tweaking , IMO, doesn’t justify removing any stars!

This facility is not family friendly. When walking up to the entrance, there was a group of kids calling each other names including swears and derogatory names and trying to fight each other, this was with staff inside looking out the windows watching them and doing nothing. We go into the building with our three kids, 11, 3, and son who is a week and a half away from being 1. We check in and everything seems fine. My husband was walking with our son as I worked out. After about 20 minutes, we were asked to leave the facility as someone complained that my husband was walking with our infant son, who was not crying, yelling, or doing anything. In fact, he was intrigued by the sounds of basketball. We had never had this be an issue before as we did this same thing with our 3 year old for 6 months when she was an infant. This facility only wants to have pre-teen and teenagers or single adults, they are not kind to families or inclusive of families with younger children although there are other Y locations that are and do not randomly decide that this one day it’s an issue to walk with our infant because they had what looked like executives there looking at the gym. If you have an infant under the age of 1 (which is when this locations child watch starts) do not go here. We did have an issue with child watch previously where they were supposed to be open, schedule said it was available and when we got there, it was completely closed and no one knew why so we had to leave. This location is a waste of a membership.

The group exercise classes are excellent and offered at a variety of times, making it easy to find options that fit my schedule. The instructors are great, especially Lisa, Cassandra, Marina, and Gentry!!
The exercise machines are also new, well-maintained, and user-friendly.

Our daughter attended her first day care experience at the YMCA. It’s affordable and a great start to get the ball rolling. I am amazed at the quality of staff and their attentiveness.
Iris the director, is quick with responses in regards to childcare concerns/ updates. I also appreciate the attention to detail to make drop off easier for the littles and parents!

Terrible gym/court experience. My kids came home upset today complaining about how some “adults” are taking over the basketball court everyday afternoon to play basketball and they don’t let anyone but their own friends play and get on the court. This is not fair for the kids and for the parents that pay a monthly membership for their kids to come and have fun and play basketball after school. This is very disappointing, my kids have been going to the ymca for the past 3 years and something like this hasn’t happened before, the YMCA staff and management needs to do something about this to make it fair for the people and kids!
