cannot thank this place enough for everything they've done for my two dogs ❤️ the staff is always so nice (even when my dog gets a little agressive) and you can tell that they really care about the well-being of their patients. they also always fit me in when there's an emergency, i wouldn't want to go to any other vet ever.

Honestly everyone here seems lost. The younger heavy set woman who took us in the exam room had little to no information on the multiple vaccines she wanted to give our puppy. She kept leaving the room to go speak with the doctor and double check her knowledge on things. This “doctor” never came, never to speak with us, not to introduce themselves, or give any professional opinions. Very off putting. She came back in with a paper that gave the prices for the vaccines as well as the price for the initial exam visit which was $98 for the visit itself. Upon booking the appointment at this animal hospital they had sent me a coupon for a free first exam for all puppies. When I informed the girl of this, she had no idea about this coupon and said she needed to talk to the doctor again. Then another girl came in and said they do not offer that coupon at this location. This made no sense because the coupon that was sent to my email said a first free exam with the location of this animal hospital listed on it. Had I known that they werefalse advertising a first free exam I would have booked a first well visit at an animal Hospital closer to us and not 30 minutes away. When I tried to show the second girl the email and ask her what the point of advertising a free exam was if they weren’t going to honor it she looked at me with a blank face like a toddler. She didn’t even attempt to look the email. Just stood there with a dumb found look on her face. Completely lost like everyone else it seems. I told her we would just go elsewhere and she said ok have a good day and ran out the door slamming it shut without further conversation. No doctor no manager nothing apologized for wasting our time. Zero knowledge on any vaccines for puppies and zero customer service skills. Clowns.

An employee named Sam at the Lynnfield by the Lake location in Wakefield MA. needs further training in customer service. He is condescending and rude. I have reached out directly to the practice and am awaiting a response. Some history....I had a terrible experience at VCA previously which led me to Lynnfield Animal Hospital. To my dismay, they got taken over by VCA. I was ready to leave the practice based on my experiences with VCA but I love Dr. Boufard so as a family we decided to remain only because of her.My experience with Sam was so out of line that I may likely have all six of our pets records sent to another hospital nearby. Never go to a chain business for pet care. They only care about money and not the pets or the pet parents.

Terrible experience at this Animal Hospital would not recommend. Their incompetence and sheer ignorance about herding dogs almost killed my dog. We received a call from our vet after our dogs surgery to say she was doing well and we could pick her up before 7pm. We arrive and the staff won't let us see her and say they don't think she is going to make it. Huh? They had her on a stainless steel table (grate) covered with a blanket in a hot room looked like she was dying but when she saw us she moved her tail. We scooped her up against their advice and took her to Mass Vet Referral Hospital. She was basically overheated, they did blood work, put her in a cool room on a quilt on the floor while the vet techs stood around her observing her. She was ready to go home about an hour later. Oh and they asked who prescribed the doxycycline because it was double the recommended amount (guess who did that). Anyhow, I wish I sued Lynnfield Animal Hospital big mistake not too. If you feel something isn't right speak up this is your pets life!!

Words can't describe our thanks at the sensitivity and caring that the staff and doctors showed us when we arrived with our very ill dog. My dog had only been seen there a few times when he took a turn for the worst. The doctor and staff were already waiting for me when we arrived at the animal hospital. Their compassion made a difficult time for us so much easier for us and Mac. Thank you all so much.

I have been going to this VCA hospital for a year. Sad to say my experience with them is nothing but disappointment. Recently I took my dog in for an ear infection, for which she was prescribed an antibiotic/antifungal ear suspension. The medication worked but a month later the infection came back and so I gave her leftover ear suspension from the previous prescription and her condition was clearly improving. When I called for a refill of the same medicine in order to finish the recommended 10-day course, I was told I had to bring her in for a new exam in order to get a prescription even though the medicine was working. The same behavior repeated in another situation. My dog had a recurrent problem of licking her paw. After she was examined, she was prescribed anti-allergy and antibacterial medicines which seemed to reduce her licking albeit not completely. Weeks later she was licking the same paw again. When I called for a prescription, I was told she would have to undergo a new examination before they would prescribe anything. I had no choice but brough her in to pay for another exam just to be told it was the same skin allergy. Ultimately the medicine did not eliminate the issue and my dog still kept licking her paw. Out of desperation I tried an over-the-counter anti-fungal cream recommended by a neighbor who used it for her two dogs and it worked. My dog stopped her licking and her rash cleared. Never once did her vet mention the possibility of a fungal infection or that one could try an over-the-counter antifungal cream. Lastly, I attempted to get my dog re-vaccinated against Lyme as I had done in the past, but they would only vaccinate her after a physical exam even though she just had an exam two months ago. This place does not care about my dog, they only care about trying to drag things out for as many visits as they can to rake in as much money as they can. Time to change clinic!

I have been taking my dog to this hospital for almost 13 years, is upsetting how everything is all about the money. Took my dog for a check up there about a month ago and spoke to them about a recurrent problem he dad with a cut in his ear, they told me to use a wet wipe to clean the lesions even though my dog is been using the same medicine for the past few years, I had to call for the previous prescription today because the new one is not helping and I was told that I have to bring him to the clinic for a fiscal for them to give him the refill. I told them that I was just there about a month ago and he had all the test done (spend few hundred dollars) and she said that he still needs the heart worm test. So for my dog to be able to have a refill prescription that he has used for several years, I have to go there and spend another God knows how many hundred dollars again because of a test. I don't know if this hospital is under new management but after so many years I decided to change him to another clinic. Is very sad and upsetting .

This isn't the same Wakefield VCA, this is now the Lynnfield VCA by the lake. I have been to see them for three problems so far and I cannot say enough about the team here.My dog has terrible separation anxiety and usually flips out when we pull into the parking lot of any place I have left her before, but she's genuinely happy to see Dr. Field and her techs. Everyone is very gentle and understanding of her stress.FYI they do dental here. That's why I went in the first place, they were the only ones that would make time for her. Other vets estimated waiting a month for an appointment when she had a broken tooth with roots exposed. My girl was clearly very comfortable with Dr. Field, so I changed to make her our regular vetIt is stress free to bring her here. They really care and call and text to check on her. Recently my girl ruptured her ACL and can't have surgery for months. I had a lot of questions about managing her pain and activities during that time, more than the techs were able to answer so the Dr called me and spent almost 30 minutes helping me navigate all the challenges at 7 pm!I appreciate that so much!To Dr. Field, you are Sukhi's favorite and mine too!

They were able to take me in day of for humane euthanasia of my cat when my vet was closed. They even offered someone who spoke Portuguese. They were helpful and thoughtful. I would recommend them to a friend.

I have been going to VCA for 12 years and seeing Dr. Brenda Bouffard, not only is she an expert veterinarian, but she is the most caring, warm, personable person you could meet. My Cat now has diabetes at 14 years old and she was so great at explaining how to care for him, giving us lessons on injections. Never have we ever felt rushed at any of our three Cat's visits. She always takes the time to call you back if you call her with a question. We just love her! She truly is the best! I also have to say the Staff there are wonderful, especially Suzanne the office Manager that always helps you with your Insurance and wants to steal my Cat because she loves him! Mike who gives the best lion cut, and Maddy, who always takes care of our appointments and special food orders, they all are so pleasant about it, sorry I didn't mention all of their names!

Everyone is so caring here, and they always recognize us when we come in! My dogs don't run and hide at the word "vet" and they both come in tails wagging every time. They don't love going into the examination rooms, but who can blame them?

Can't say enough wonderful things about this team and in particular Dr. Bouffard. We have a 4 year old Maine coon rescue who developed a lump a few months back and our regular vet disregarded the seriousness of the issue. Finally things got so scary we brought him to VCA Lynnfield after an emergency trip the previous day and they went above and beyond to see him immediately and also schedule surgery during a holiday week. They were so good to us and I was totally at ease leaving him in their care. Their communication, responsiveness and true concern for my big guy was incredible and we are SO thankful. I could go on forever but one thing that really got me was that they sent home special notes on the sweaters he needed post surgery and it really melted my heart.
