About Malden Center
Malden Center is a well-connected transportation hub that serves both the Orange Line and Commuter Rail, making it a convenient stop for travelers in the Greater Boston area. The station is located in a lively downtown area, close to foot traffic, sports fields, and a nearby Gaming District, providing a vibrant setting. The station building is small but functional, with multiple bus routes connecting seamlessly to the trains, allowing easy transfers and access to surrounding neighborhoods. It features a cozy and colorful aesthetic, with orange, white, and black tiles, along with local art installations that enhance its charm. Both platforms are covered with good canopy coverage, offering protection from the weather, though the platforms can be cold in winter. The Commuter Rail platform has an alert system and a scrolling LED sign that can be slow to display train arrivals, though newer signs at other stations are suggested. The Orange Line platform has clear departure screens showing the next two arrivals, and both platforms are accessible via elevators, making the station handicap-friendly. However, there is no escalator going down, which can make foot traffic during peak times challenging, especially when trains are full. The station is generally well-maintained, with helpful staff, visible timetables, and security cameras, contributing to a safe environment. The station’s aesthetic and community atmosphere are appreciated, and the nearby areas, including Malden Central and the Sports Field, add to its appeal. Overall, Malden Center offers a streamlined, neighborly, and accessible transit experience, though winter weather can make waiting on cold platforms uncomfortable.

Hope they had more place with heat with this brutal winter, sadly you just have to bundle up. But everything fine if you have a bus app scheduled you should see the buses run accordingly. That’s all

Things are looking up nice fence around MBTA, good reasoning, and keeps a safer site for all.
