Meghan H took a walk-in appointment before my scheduled grooming appointment for my senior chocolate lab. She complained about how the walk in dog was super anxious getting their nails trimmed. She then refused to see him and looked visibly displeased that my dog is easily excitable and hyper. My dog is not aggressive and is 10 years old. I even said it was fine to muzzle him if that made it easier for her and she turned us away again. She made no efforts to reschedule or offer another staff member that would be more comfortable grooming my large breed dog. My dog has been groomed with no issues at the Foxborough location and they have been nothing but pleasant. It was extremely disheartening to see that this location clearly has not upheld the petco grooming standard to work with animals with special needs or sensitivities. The staff here clearly fall short of appropriate training to handle various pet needs, and do not care to work with customers to ensure a positive experience for the pets. Absolutely awful experience here, seems like the staff does not even like dogs or care for them.

This is my go-to pet store and has been for a very long time. When I was a teenager and young adult, this was the best place for reptile care and information; I remember the workers here making me feel at home with all of my animal care questions and concerns. I moved away from home for a few years and have since returned in my early 30's, and I am so happy to report that the same sentiments apply.
I currently have 3 cats, a dog, a goose, several chickens, and some exotics- and although I cannot get my livestock needs met here, this location is phenomenal with my domestic and exotic pet needs. From feeders for my invertebrates to cat litter and dog kibble, this Petco location is an amazing and convenient store location. My only feedback is that I wish that they carried waterfowl and poultry items, as well as having the cricket counter near their aquatics section manned a little more attentively [I always have to find somebody to assist with that; they don't want you self-serving at the cricket counter but then I always end I waiting for a long time before finding an attendant on my own]
This store is always clean and friendly in every way; I am also a trans man and I feel 100% comfortable shopping here in that regard.

Dog food is way too expensive.....what was $62 3 years ago is now $92!!!!! Will not be getting another pet because of the cost.

This company has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I bought a $1300 conure, a $200 cage and hundreds of dollars worth of food and toys at the Mansfield MA location. 5 months later it died for no reason at all. I went into the store to see what they could to rectify the issue, and they told me it was corporates decision. I called corporate, they told me it was the stores decision. I went back to the store and was told it’s corporates decision. I got bounced back and forth for a week. Long story short, I was lied to by multiple employees over the phone, was called a liar by employees on the phone and in store, and was told “Unfortunately it’s not our problem anymore” several times by employees over the phone and the manager in the store. I have spent ALOT of money at this store, but UNFORTUNATELY will not be spending another dollar there. If you are planning on buying an animal at Petco, I would look elsewhere.

Friendly helpful staff. Good selection of pet food. I was looking for a dog surgical suit, but this location doesn't carry them.
