Amalia is great! My husband found her and told me I should use her. She was able to cut and bleach my hair and it still feels soft! She is super friendly and gave me great advice about the effects of well water on dyeing hair and took extra time to get the color how I wanted it. What a gem!! She was also willing to work with my restrictions to get me scheduled with a private session. I am so happy to have a new hairdresser I can trust long term.

I had a very wonderful experience getting my hair highlighted and cut. Amalia listened to exactly what I wanted-which is key! She even added some lowlights to my very light bangs, which is 99 percent grey and those were spot on to helping my over all look. She blended my grays throughout my hair very well. I was also educated in how best to care for my blond/grey hair and recommended some amazing products to help. She’s a gem. I’m so happy I found her!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

I’ve been seeing Amalia for over 15 years! I have curly hair that needs extra attention. I used to always get my hair done with her before she even had her own salon. In 2013 I moved to Brasil to work in the Music/Entertainment industry and had the opportunity to have many professionals work on my hair in tv studios, before shoots, elite salons and more. But after moving back to the US and living in NYC I still drive up to Massachusetts every couple of months and get my hair treated, cut, and touched up by her! My hair was overgrown, choppy, just a mess.- previously cut at a chain salon which was cheap $ but so was the look of the cut.With the CO19 going on I was hesitant to enter a salon, but let me tell you how amazing Amalia's was! First of all the place was spotless and sanitized to the max. When I entered she requested I sanitize my hands and then wash my hands. I had no problem doing this if she told me to wash them again I would have. You can't be too careful LOL. After the short consult she opened a brand-new cape to put around me! we went to the shampoo room which was super cute and very clean. She did an extra step and used a clarifying shampoo as well as a regular shampoo and then conditioned.I brought a couple pictures with me of the haircut I wanted. She's very politely explained to me she wouldn't be able to give me the same cut as the picture cuz my hair was to short where it needed to be long. I was very happy she told me straight up that it wasn't possible. She did tell me what I needed to do to eventually achieve the style I wanted. She cut my hair, she crossed checked her work and then she asked me how I liked it. I kind of made some grumbling sounds and kept messing with the back of it and she knew I wasn't totally happy. She asked me if I wanted it a little shorter and I told her yes, she had no problem cutting it again. There was no underlying attitude or anything like that, I could tell her goal was to make me happy.Let's talk cost..... Im cheap, no, that's mean ..let's say I'm frugal... so $50 was a lot to me. As I think about it $50 really is not that much for everything she did. I gave her $60 and called it a day. I probably should have left her more than a $10 tip because she was so clean and so careful... But like I said I'm cheap. ?UPDATE: I WORE MY HAIR CURLY FOR THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS SO WHEN I WASHED AND STRAIGHTEN IT I DISCOVERED A CHOPPY MESS!!!! IDK WHAT SHE DID BUT I CALLED AND SHE REFUNDED MY MONEY! I HAVE TO HAVE IT FIXED, IT LOOKS SOOOO BAD!!!

If you’re looking for an honest, cheerful and friendly hair stylist Amaila is your girl. If you need a cut or color I highly HIGHLY recommend. She’s not expensive and does amazing work! She works with all hair types. A hair cut is only 50 bucks with a blow dry! I went to dye my hair that had a 2 year old balayage, extremely out grown and dead ends. Amaila helped me pick out a new color and trimmed off all the dead. Leaving my hair still long, and super healthy.I loved my whole experience from start to finish10/10Services: Waxing

I have been going to Amalia for almost 15 years and the service has always been wonderful. She's always patient and takes her time so you never end up with a cut that's too short or not what you were looking for. She also is very knowledgeable about different hair types and textures so I recommend her to many people. She even takes the time to quickly go over my hair with a straightener after a cut since my hair tends to re-curl easily which I appreciate. Amalia is super talented and really friendly and engaging. She’s the most accommodating stylist I’ve ever had and I enjoy every minute of my time with her. The salon is stylish and comfortable and I leave feeling like I spent time with a friend. I have an arm injury that’s preventing me from doing my own hair right now. Amalia does beautiful blowouts and has cut and colored my hair too. The day after she colored it, I was on a Southwest flight and the flight attendant refers to me as the lady with the beautiful hair. Thanks, Amalia!
