First time coming to this Marshall's from its previous location. I had specific things I needed to look for and found everything I needed. The store was nice and clean, the staff was in the process of putting things from the back into their departments. Had some interaction with some staff and they were very friendly and helpful. Good place for special finds for great prices. Good until I got to checkout....I thought I was doing well no line excellent right! Register person lacked customer service skills and it just wasn't pretty. Anyway, reason for the 4 stars. Would I got back yes.!

I bought an $80 jacket at the Marshalls in Northborough… The tag was ripped in half when I purchased it but the price was printed in upper right corner so the associate confirmed the price based on the ticket and rang it up for me. I just tried to return the jacket as it didn’t fit well,, to the Marshalls in Marlboro because that’s where I live. I had the receipt, it was only two days after I purchased it, but the cashier looked the jacket up on her computer, and would not let me return it because she said that the tags didn’t match the jacket… Note that I had my receipt, that the numbers on the receipt matched the ticket, the ticket was attached to the jacket - it even had the original manufacturers tickets on it so I asked her if she was accusing me of swapping out the tickets and she said no but she couldn’t take the jacket back, that I had to go back to Northborough. I asked her why didn’t the associate do that when I bought it, and she said they should have. As a consumer who used to buy a lot of stuff at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. I will not be buying any Christmas presents there because my family is not local and I don’t want them to have to be accused of either swapping tags or be given the responsibility of training a sales associate. I will not be shopping there in the future for myself if I’m going to be accused of tickets swapping, I have never been so offended.
