We had my moms funeral here on 3/27 & 3/28/23. Scott did an outstanding job from the day we walked into his business. He is very easy to work with and so accommodating. He made it very easy for us during a very difficult time. Thank you again for everything you did for us

I was very disappointed. When a family member or friend passes, all we have left are memories and prayers. When I arrived at the funeral home my first intention was to kneel at my mother's casket. But, I could not do that because there was no kneeler. Two of my friends noticed the same thing. I asked the three employees at the funeral home if there was no kneeler because of covid, and I told them last week the CDC reversed its guidelines. The gentleman who answered me said he knew that, but business owners could make their own decisions about their business. None of the three people made a motion to get a kneeler, and none of them asked me to wait while they got one. So I told them I was very disappointed. There was no mask mandate at Slattery. There was no social distancing at Slattery. No one asked for anyone's vaccination status. No one asked if anyone had been in contact with someone who had covid. The mourners hugged, kissed, shook hands, and were within inches of each other at times. So, why was there a concern about someone getting sick from kneeling in front of my mother's casket versus standing at her casket? My mother was a lifelong Catholic until she was no longer able to attend mass. There was a crucifix behind her casket. Her funeral service was at a Catholic church, where we kneeled as we prayed during the mass. Why weren't we given the same opportunity to kneel and pray at my mother's casket? I attended a wake this year, also in massachusetts, and there was a kneeler. I personally feel it was disrespectful to not have a kneeler for those who chose to use it. Anyone who did not choose to use it could stand.

ScottI would like to thank you and your entire Staff for all you did for us. I cannot say how pleased we were that everything was kept within our wishes. You consistently insured that all details were addressed and solved in this time of COVID. The Zoom experience was perfect both at the service and burial. From pre-arrangement to actual date of the funeral, any questions or advice need was met with an immediate response in a very kind manner. Everyone was thoroughly professional and understanding, yet quiet friendly which eased this difficult occasion. Please let the Edinboro floral Service know the flowers were beautiful and we appreciated their excellent service. Thank you collecting all the sympathy cards from the flowers so we knew what we were thanking people for.Words simply cannot express our gratitude for everything you did to make our father’s funeral such a comforting and uplifting experience. At a time of our great sorrow, the helpfulness you all extended to our family was most appreciated and will never be forgotten. On behalf of my entire family, we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude for arranging for our father’s final journey home. We will definitely recommend you to family and friends!Karen
