I am constantly disappointed with SMCU. They need to automate their banking system and get out of the dark ages. Today I was on a 30 minute call with a representative of SMCU. I paid off an equity loan 3 weeks ago for over $50k. The check was cashed from BOA. SMCU never posted my payoff, also gave me an incorrect pay off amount. I visited their Marlboro branch and write the check at the teller window. I work full time and do not have the time to spend 30 minutes to correct an error from SMCU that should never have happened. Please pull your money from this ridiculous credit union so this never happens to you. Very disappointed. It's one of many mishaps I incurred at SMCU.

I have always been satisfied with the service and the way you treat all of your customers. I have been a customer since 1972. I called in and a representative answered right away. She was super helpful, very pleasant to speak to, and was able to help me with the one phone call. I’m very satisfied with the great customer service as well as the bank as a whole!

Whenever I call SMCU I receive exceptional customer service. I have never had dealings with an agency where every last customer service person was pleasant, courteous, helpful and well spoken. SMCU has a team of all stars during a time in history where you are lucky to come away from call satisfied 50% of the time.

I had the PLEASURE of speaking with Ana when I called St. Mary's Credit Union. I had spent approximately an hour trying to enter information to pay my bill online. Ana was so patient, kind and perfectly assisted me. She even waited until I made the payment to make sure I didn't have any further issues. She is such an asset to the bank as great customer service can be hard to find!

I like St. Mary’s Credit Union. I’ve had a mortgage, checking and savings for my small business, personal checking and savings accounts and I even co-signed for a car loan for my daughter.The interest rates can’t be beatCustomer service is polite, knowledgeable, responsive, and cheerful.What’s not to like?I had business with them today and was help with resetting my online banking password by both Amber and Anna.I jokingly told them that “I was not used to being treated like this” (because they were uncommonly effective and embodied all that I have come to expect from “Our Lady of the Passbook”)

I have an account with St. Mary’s for almost 2 decades now so obviously, when my son became a teen I chose St. Mary’s to open his first bank account. My other bank is Hanscom FCU but I liked St. Mary’s so I took my son to open his account there. Worse mistake I ever made. The new branch location on Bolton St. Marlborough had the worse customer service ever. The lady was like a robot and even with my account information, she managed to make a huge mistake on my son’s home address. We open the account in March and it’s now May and I got a phone call from St. Corporation saying my son’s card had returned so when they confirmed me the address, it was completely wrong. Seriously, I felt like the lady who opened the account was bothered. It’s was like she was doing us a huge favor when it’s her who needs us. I could have taken my son to open his account at any bank as I did after this experience since we still haven’t received his ATM card from St. Mary’s yet. I don’t understand why this lady was so rude and I hope she doesn’t treat anyone the way she treated us. St. Mary’s will definitely lose customers if she stays there. I know for a fact that I will never return to Bolton St. Branch for sure. I wish I remembered her name. I almost want to go there just to catch her name.

I called SMCU this morning Saturday) and spoke with Julie. I explained that the night before I foolishly responded to an email from Walmart and took an on-line survey to win a YETI cooler for free. There was a $5.00 charge for shipping. Within minutes the $5 charge was posted to my account. ALSO posted was a charge for almost $90 from a Mustang parts site. Julie called the referenced phone number and conferenced me in. Julie explained my issue and the person explained that it was a "subscription" program. Julie advised that I did not intend to make any purchases and asked if I could cancel. Both charges are to be refunded and subscription is canceled. This all took about 5 minutes! Julie was wonderful! Very professional and confident. Plus she didn't make me feel worse than I did for not checking the actual email address which was a long bunch of letters and numbers. I have been with SMCU for more than 30 years and every interaction has been smooth sailing. Thanks to Julie for digging me out of this one. My Saturday looks so much brighter because of her excellent service!
