“I’ll be honest, I’m on the board of the SAA, but here’s what they do really well. If you haven’t visited since September 2023 you have to see the new location at Sandwich Historic Town Hall across from the Sandwich Glass Museum. Parking is generally close and available except during large events when it’s advisable to show up early. It’s handicapped accessible. All the works in the gallery, gift shop and bookstore are created by members. There are high quality classes presented by experienced authors, artists, and crafters. There are unique opportunities to see new plays by local writers, storytellers and performers. There are new opportunities for youth artists, writers and crafters to present their work. It is one of the most community friendly, high quality Art environment I’ve had the privilege to be connected with.”
