“A beautiful makeover of the beloved but tired original store. Now bright, spacious well-stocked aisles. A larger fresh produce section and inviting deli and prepared foods. Same long hours, a great evolution of a Waban mainstay.”
“Always helpful and pleasant, the staff here is second to none!
(Close second: Salem,NH....I'm sensing a trend here...♡)
As always, my teeny, OG* McKinnon's in Everett is small but mighty!

“It has a little bit of everything, you can really feel like you are in the neighborhood store in Colombia, there is a butcher shop, vegetables, a market in general”
“This looks and feels like a proper Eastern European grocery store. Few items have English-language labels, but you can easily find most anything and staff is exceedingly helpful. They make sandwiches in the back: here is the "Polish Combo" which resembles an Italian grinder but with four hams (one smoked) and three cheeses. It's NOT 'fast food', but you can order sandwiches then browse and shop casually.Great hours, too.”

“The Sudanese restaurant has a lot of delicious food, the most beautiful meat you can try, crisp and tender, and leaves you in the mouth. It is a real addiction. Everyone in the store is very polite. All my occasions are from them. If I have a visit or an intention, I will get fresh meat from them. The food is very tasty, clean, and looks beautiful and tidy. I get tired of describing how meat and chicken are ???”
“The only place I go for my meat when I’m in Boston, I have never had a problem with their meet quick service, my only problem is parking can be a problem especially the weekends.”
“I absolutely love this place. It is always clean and the produce is so fresh and well priced. The food is also DELICIOUS and really affordable! I also like trying the baked goods, they're really well made and super yummy. The bulgar and the herbed chicken is some of the best I've had!”
“Aside from me standing infront of the restroom and being told no public bathroom in the establishment as a construction worker who works on sites sometime where there is no restroom sucked and that alone took one star away but will credit this place for the homecooked inexpensive meals tha churasco plate is a mush have.”
“I usually love going to Wallaston however this evening they closed the grill at 12:20 when they close at 1 AM therefore I was sad and could not get a breakfast sandwich?????”

“Aldi is the most affordable place to shop . I like this place , you can almost find everything you need , price much lower than any other places , this store is for working class .”
“Good market place with everything fresh vegetables, chicken, meat, fish, a lot of variety of groceries, good service, the only thing you have to buy is the bags or you can bring to save.”
“Great service and very clean, I don't understand the logic of how they categorize items and the parking lot tends to get filled up in a weirdly competitive way”
“When Roche Bros. decided to close the Quincy location 3 years ago I started shopping at this location. It was the closest in distance from where I live. It was much more well stocked than Quincy was before their closing was announced. It much more resembled their former Randolph location Sudbury Farms with the unusual high bin shopping carts, kind-of a homey-country feel. The staff was great, it won me over. It took a few weeks to figure out where everything was, but it was well laid out. A few months later, corporate decided to re-arrange the store. Very annoying, but I got used to it.
They remodeled the store just over a year and a half ago. They are following the trends of many supermarkets lately, making the stores ridiculously bright inside, and using allot of darker colors on allot of the walls. They used to have a small dining area for their kitchen, but that was removed during the remodel. The got rid of the high bin carts for regular shopping carts. A Citizens Bank was located here, but was never open on the weekends, and closed last year.
I still shop here, the staff hasn't changed a whole lot, and are great. My one gripe is how the arrange the produce section and the bakery. After you enter the store and get your cart the first thing you run into is a fruit display right in the middle of your path. You have to maneuver around it just to get to where you're going. This is especially exacerbating when everyone is gathered around the display picking out items from said display. After that the remaining displays in this section are just too close together. The space that was previously occupied by Citizens Bank was boarded up, if they opened it up they could move some stuff there and move the remaining displays further apart (and get rid of that stupid display right after entering the store).
Then there's the bakery section. Before the remodel, all of the bakery displays were lined up in a straight line in the middle of the section, very easy to find everything. Post remodel the displays are scattered around, and you have to maneuver around them just like the produce section.
One more thing to note, this store is unusual in that the bakery, kitchen, and deli are on the opposite side of the store from the entrance, not next to the produce section like you would normally expect. The produce section is next to the meats and butcher section.”
“Updated: I changed from 1 to 4 stars, because I went to the store few days later and the store manager did apologized for what had happened and made a refund for both packs even though I wasn't asking for it. The attitude does matter.
Original: Awful experience today at this store. I bought "blintzes with cheese" as it was labeled, but when I came home it was with mushrooms. But the worst part is when I came back to the store to exchange for the correct product I reaaly wanted to buy, I had to pay for 1 blintzes I wasted (that's how I discovered it was with mushrooms and not cheese) and I had to pay the difference between old pack and new pack of blintzes because one with chese were $2 more expensive. This this a customer service at Baza! I lose 30 min of my time to go back and I had to pay for their mistake!
Any normal American store will return the money and give you the right product for free in gesture of an apology and all caused inconvenience.”
“Very cute and friendly neighborhood market. I like all the unique items you can find in there as well as regular items. The onions aren't always good but other produce is.”

“Excellent Brazilian grocery store. Find specialty Brazilian goods as well as produce, and high quality meats and fresh baked goods. A gem of the whole metro area and a cornerstone of the local community.”
“Very convenient shopping location. Wide selection of stuff. Many registers.
Unfortunately, not always stocked (or fresh items). A bit of a confusing layout. No place to put shopping carts afterwards (cause clutter). The only elevator out doesn’t work half the time (annoying to carry large grocery bags up).”
“There is everything for a seafood soup,
fresh vegetables
Prices: very good
Excellent quality.
There is parking, and I loved it”
“A South End Boutique sized supermarket. A little pricey, but convenient for SOWA.
The Fresh Deli, Hot bar, Salad bar and Soups are worth the trip.
My Favorites are the fried chicken Wings, etc @ Hot bar.
Italian Wedding Soup, and others.
Also the Ground beef burrito and meatballs, and the tuna salad@the deli.
Great variety of foods at the deli.
And great freshly made sandwiches as well as pre packaged mini sandwiches.
Addictive baked goods..Muffins, Loafs, Cookies, Brownies, Pies, Cakes, etc.
There is also Wines and other alcohol products.
Very Convenient and Clean.”
“I had a great experience and I want to give a special shoutout to Urmi at the register. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and efficient, making sure my order was correct and handling everything with a warm smile. It’s always nice to be greeted by someone so welcoming, especially during a busy time. Her customer service made my visit even more enjoyable. Thank you, Urmi, for your kindness and professionalism—I’ll definitely be back!”
“One of the few places to get Caribbean groceries. You'll always find Bajan seasoning (but the brand I used to buy is not there anymore), Jamaican & Trini seasonings too. They have the usual staples like Ackee, Shirley Biscuits, coconut, green banana, etc. I also buy my loose tea from here.”
“Liquor. Lottery. Newports. They left off two words from the name. Liquor Store. It's, or it should be, Blue Hill Superette Liquor Store. What the heck is a "superette" anyway? The superette is located on prime retail space, too- between Breezeway Bar & Grill and Packy's. Doesn't get much better than that in Boston, I tell ya. So, the spot is BIG, well-lit, clean, and has a more than adequate selection of all the spirits the neighborhood clientele prefers . It even has an ok wine selection, which is really surprising (go 'head, Blue Hill Superette!). The first language of the employees/owner is Spanish, but no worries, they know English, too. Oh, the place is also a little convenience store, too- various corner store items available. The shelves are a little dusty, and I wouldn't buy anything other than liquor here for fear of the expiration date, because again- it's a neighborhood (big) liquor store. That's what you come here for- liquor, lottery, and Newports (if you smoke).”
“Great customer service and you can always find what you're looking for in there very nice people always friendly and always looking to help their customers out and find something or any any way they can help you all in all great store very great”

“I didn't even know about this place, my girlfriend asked me to help her out with a ride for groceries & this is where we went. Great prices, helpful employees, everything you need, they've got it here!”
“This is a phenomenal little store. It literally has everything a grocery store would have except meat. If you ever need anything, Tufts Market probably has it. Cannot speak highly enough of this little establishment. It’s incredible how much they do with this space. An asset to Ball Square.”
“If you’re looking to go to a place where you’re surrounded by different cultures of people.. shopping and having a good time while they shop.. come here, American food, basket, amount of pants, diverse culture, and good prices on food and you can find rare pieces of food from different countries, fruits and vegetables….”
