Counter clerks are nice. But they don't know how to put mail in a PO Box, at all. They constantly overfill them so the key doesn't work because the lock is jammed from the inside. Then once you finally wrestle it open, you'll be lucky if they didn't break your lock, like they did to ours. They also have terrible customer service scheduling. They have a line out the door, and one person at the counter. I had to drop off two prepaid packages and buy a roll of stamps, and then just as it was my turn, they called up someone behind me in line who didn't have their package ready, to go in front of me. Makes sense.

Now our company mail is just in an open PO Box for anyone who walks by to see until they either fix it or replace it.....

I recently went to the Medfield P.O. after having a rude and irritable postal worker be very dismissive to me about a year ago. I was pleasantly surprised to have a polite, efficient and pleasant woman help me out. Maybe things are moving towards better service!

I went into this office for renewing my kids passports and I was forced to do do expedited request even though I did not need to. I knew how the procedure is and explained that it's not required and all we need is to send the renewal form and the "about to" expired passports. This Chinese guy (the only postman who was certified for passports service) was not willing to process for me if I didn't expedite it... He was extremely rude. He indicated that he would not care if other location would process it but not at his location. So I went to Waltham location and had it done within 15 minute. I happened to go to the Boston Passports (head quarter) location a year later for my passport for business trip and brought up this incident to them. They indicated whoever worked there in Medfield need to retake the training again. I would suggest to go to Needham, Dedham or Waltham location if it's not too far for you. The people there are a lot nicer and experienced. This one star is for the cleanliness of the location. As far as the passport service sadly to say this Chinese man deserved nothing.

They no longer allow walk-ins for Passports and the two people who were on duty were extremely unhelpful. I'd suggest going to Foxboro or Norwood if you need your Passport done and using a different nearby post office to ship packages/buy stamps. Molasses in winter would give these folks a run for their money.
