They promoted “free ice cream” at Kennedys then ran out of the appropriated funds 30 minutes in, and then ran out of Halloween candy an hour after trick-or-treating started. Impressive budgeting skills for a bank.

This is, without a doubt, the worst banking experience I have ever had. Between their new reduced 'COVID' hours (makes no sense at this point), the inability to log into my mobile account, or the ridiculous, primitive, cybersecurity policies 5"this bank never fails to disappoint. The folks that work there are great but this is a friendly neighborhood waste of time.

I have used Eastern for years and I've been miserable for most of that time. Switching banks is a big deal so I've put it off. I am now not working and am actively looking. EVERY time I log in I have to verify who I am. EVERY time. They call it a one-time thing. NO. EVERY TIME. I either have to get a security code by email or phone. Sometimes I don't even get the option of text. It's so frustrating. I've called many times. They keep insisting I should be able to log in ONCE on each device, then never again. NO. EVERY time. I'm also frustrated that there are not drive thrus at every branch near me. My mother had an account with Brookline Bank so I dealt with them for a while. I never had to go through the agony I do with Eastern. I also had a problem with her account that a branch employee helped me with. She was awesome. Has since moved on, but that's the kind of service I'm looking for. I have kept a lot of money in the bank for a while earning next to nothing. I hope they've enjoyed it, cause I'm moving on.
