UPDATE: Hair Botox is a phenomenal new service that Nora is providing. I can't recommend Nora and this service enough. My daughter's hair has never been so silky and no frizz!
My daughter had terrible experiences at other salons in and around Melrose. She was at her wits end and desperate. We had driven by this blue Victorian style house many times and finally decided to give it a shot. My wife called and Nora was extremely accommodating and asked questions that none of the other hairstylists had asked, this showed her years of experience and passion! My daughter's hair is shoulder length curly hair and was asking for a specific hairstyle, Nora not only understood the style but also knew how to work with my daughter's hair type unlike any other. For the first time she loves her hairstyle. Nora is very talented. I would recommend her to anyone!

I have been a customer of Salon International for years, and I have always trusted Nora to make my hair look great! She collaborates with you; she will tell you what suits you and she never upsells for the sake of a profit. She is professional, friendly, and up-to-date on new trends and techniques. I always leave her salon looking and feeling like a million bucks!

I recently came here for a haircut. Nora is very friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and skilled. She worked with me to provide the results I wanted, while giving advice on what works and what doesn’t. It was fun talking to her and I walked out feeling and looking great. All at a reasonable price.

She is confident, courteous honest and takes her time perfecting the right hairdo for her clients. Her salon is clean and comfortable and I just love going there because I’ve never been disappointed. I've been getting my hair done at Salon International since 2020. I have since moved away from Melrose (to NH, so I'm really not close) but I still drive to see Nora whenever I need my hair done. Nora is an expert at her craft. She and I have figured out a cadence that works for me: it is healthier for my hair AND less expensive than what I used to do at other salons.
As a bonus, after years of visiting, I know Nora cares about me as a person. I feel like I've made a lifelong friend in my hair stylist (cheesy: yes, true: yes!). When my dog had cancer and was struggling to walk, Nora gave me a stroller for him. When I need advice, I can ask her. If you want your hair done amazingly and want to meet a fantastic human in the process, Salon International is for you.
Pros: Knowledgeable, friendly, affordable
Cons: None!

Nora makes me feel like alive again! always willing to work with my schedule to fit me in And no matter how many times I tell her she doesn't have to "go all out washing/styling bc i am just going home to bed after" she insists and it always makes me feel better after- she is right! always leave with a smile on my face and enjoy our crazy conversations!

Finding the greatest hairdresser EVER began 25 years ago. During my daily commute to Boston I often admired a fellow rider’s hairstyle that was similar to mine but hers always looked so much sharper and fantastic than mine! I asked her one day to share the name of her hairdresser and that is when my relationship with the world’s greatest hairdresser began….Nora of salon international.
Nora began each session with “what are we going to do today.” Most of the time I would answer ‘the same.” But over the years there many other times I would say .”I’m ready for a change.” And so the process began with Nora patiently listening and charing out the course to the new me.
The most recent change occurred when this brunette lady of a certain age decided to bite the bullet and go all the way to natural. Nora patiently laid out all the options over the course of this major transition including highlighting in the mid point stage of two tone hair growing out to soften the starkness.
I now enjoy my authentic self in a crown of white ready for the next exciting journey with Nora and ready to respond when she asks “and what are we doing today?”
