Open Seasonally: mid-April - October, evenings in October for The Great Jack O'Lantern Journey, and evenings late November through December for Winter Wonderland Southwick's Zoo is New England's Largest Zoo! Southwick's spans 200 acres and is home to over 850 animals representing 160 species including white rhinos, chimpanzees, lions, tigers, giraffes, and more. Southwick's offers educational and entertaining shows as well as the EARTH Discovery Center, deer forest, skyfari sky ride, Woodlands Express Train Ride, Within the Wild Carousel, Soaring Eagle Zipline, a full-service restaurant (Galliford's Restaurant and Tavern), and more. This privately owned accredited zoo opened in 1965 and remains family owned and operated.
Went for the Winter Wonder lights exhibit and it was definitely pretty crowded, lines for everything but the kids did enjoy it. Amazing place for the whole family. We stayed from open to close and had a wonderful time! Gift store was nice :)

Angela from the zebra cafe works the register like a seasoned veteran. She kept a busy line moving so that I had more time to enjoy viewing the lights. Man, I've never seen someone command a line like her. Might be time for a raise.
