Sadly I must change my 5 star rating to a 1. I’d give a 0 if I could. Love the dentists and hygienists. They are wonderful. Unfortunately, the new office manager is extremely difficult to deal with. She is passive aggressive and not a bit reasonable to deal with. The customer service representative from my insurance company could not believe how difficult she was. I have worked in the health insurance industry for 40 years much of that time spent working in provider relations and I have never encountered such rudeness from office staff. Please don’t tell me to call the office to discuss my concerns unless I’m speaking to the dentist directly.

I do not relish the idea of writing this review because the dentists and hygienists at this practice are some of the best you will come across. If you do use this practice make sure you have out of pocket liability in writing prior to having a procedure done in case there is an insurance issue. Follow up with your insurance prior to having a procedure done as well.If you do give them your credit card and sign anything that allows them to charge it, be prepared to have charges run without receiving an itemized bill or them making sure you know that they will run it before they do.I will happily edit this review if things get resolved but that does not negate the fact they charged my credit card almost $1000 prior to making sure I knew they were doing it or even receiving an itemized bill for what they were charging me for which would've potentially maxed out my card just prior to Christmas.I would've happily worked something out if they had given me the opportunity to return their call prior to charging my card.the office manager left me a message to call her back in an hour before running my card without my knowledge as to how much or price breakdown. The office manager is passive aggressive and a bully when it comes to extracting money from you by any means possible. Her customer service skills are simply non existent and she will not hesitate to charge you first without waiting to here from you.Her behavior is borderline harassment with phone calls and she will try to convince you that you don't understand your rights and that she knows better because she comes from a family of lawyers. Do not believe it and stand up for your rights. Question and don't be intimated by her.I have never not paid my medical bills and have been going to this practice for over 15 years. I had no issues with paying my balance if I truely was liable. As long as Alyssa is the office manager here. BEWARE!Non of this needed to happen if the office manager actually understood solution based client service practices and didn't act like she knows better than everyone else.I've been in Healthcare for 20+ years and have never experienced this type arrogance on the part of an office manager.

It was excellent; very happy with Haley. Since Kay is probably retiring anyway. I’ll be happy to go to Haley from now on.

Five Stars for Dr Upite and the Hygienist, especially Elaine and Catherine. I've never had a bad experience until I met the new office manager whom which is very confrontational. I've been a patient for roughly 10 years and for some reason the practice now requires a SSN and credit card on file. Not once has my insurance not paid. I've never carried a balance. My wife works in the dental industry and informed me her practice asks for it however doesn't push patients for it unlike this new office manager at Pleasant Valley Dental Health. The new office manager also informed me they bill our insurance as a "courtesy" to us and could just make us pay in full at the time of service. This would then require the patient to apply for reimbursement from the insurance company. So glad they perform this "courtesy", I bet if they stopped this "courtesy" they would see a decline in the number of patients they see each day. Actually, I bet they will see a small decline just due to this new office manager. I’ll happily delete this review if this new office manager ever departs the practice.

THEY LIE. New office manager lies and says you are covered and when the insurance doesn't even cover and then tries to get you leave your credit card number. They don't do normal cleaning like you ask. They do an extensive X-ray and check up and bill $300! They lieeeee and are scammers. They didn't even do a cleaning.

SCAMMED. I made an appointment for a basic cleaning and check which is covered by all insurances. They lied to me and said my insurance covered it. Afterwards they said my insurance didn’t cover it. I was scammed. You can’t trust them. They didn’t even do a cleaning they just checked my teeth and didn’t x-rays for $300! When I pays for dental insurance. SCAM ALERT

I have had so much dental work, with this practice. I have spent thousands, and for them to want to keep a credit card on file, is not going to happen. The new office manager and I had a heated conversation over this, she didn't tell me that I am now out of network, which means I will be going elsewhere.

Called in several days in advance of appointment due to cancellation. I accepted and was able to come in a few days early. As always, dental work was thorough and the experience was consistent.

I really like the staff at Pleasant Valley Dental. They are always on time and very courteous.I do not like the new policy of giving a credit card number for the office to bill me. I much prefer that they would send me a bill in the mail for charges that my insurance does not cover.

I have been going to this practice for more years than I can remember. Every time I go the price of a cleaning goes up. This time by $50. I had to ask the hygienist her name before she started my cleaning. The room I was in this time I have never been in before and hope I won't have to again. I don't think it was make for cleanings. The MD came in and again didn't introduce herself. All new people less concern about clients.

I love my hygienist and Dentist. However, not a fan of the new office manager. She informed me that I have to leave a credit card on file with them in case I have a balance. I told her the only way I would have a balance was if she billed my insurance incorrectly. She insisted that couldn't happen (even though it has!). There was more, but let's just say it was not a fun exchange! My niece (a patient with this practice for 30 years) just had a run in with her. Apparently if she didn't agree to having x-rays, she couldn't get her scheduled cleaning. Both of us will be looking for a new practice!

Dr. Pourati and his assistant Rosario are professional, conscientious and caring. Every effort was made to ensure I was comfortable and understood what treatment was being done and what I could expect during the healing process.I would highly recommend them.

I’ve been going here for over 30+ years and I’ve always had a great experience! Wonderful front desk at check in and check out. Also, I had a new hygienist Haley at my recent visit and she was wonderful-warm and friendly- and she provided me with a wealth of information about my teeth!
