“The shop is super tiny but oh so cute. Chocolates are good. Nice selection. I have been here before. They made a mistake and gave my order to the person ahead of me so they got some free extras. They remade my order but when I got outside I discovered it was wrong. I went back inside to have it corrected and the young lady seemed a bit upset that I was asking for what I actually ordered. I would still go back. She was maybe having an off day.
Went back this winter 2026. Very nice lady helped us. Huge selection. Store beautiful decorated for Valentine’s Day.”

The last time I saw Sean at the barbershop, I asked him if I could stop by his family business and show my kids. He said absolutely bring them on by. Well let me tell you, we went to the most amazing place, Brian Smillie Candy. We are friends so we were able to get a guided tour by Sean the son of Brian, owner of the factory. Just want to throw that out there so you are not expecting a tour as well ?
Recently opened to the public so if you have to make a candy bar for party or something this is the place you want to go! All products sold by the pound, minimum of 5lbs. This place has candy I haven't seen since I was a kid. Things like Cow Tales, Lemonheads, Laffy Taffy's, FunDip's and gumballs like the ones I used to get out of a machine. This is just to name a few but they have options for days. They have these gummy lobsters, cows and pigs that they are well known for. This is a must get. They are perfect in my opinion, not too hard or too chewy and sweetness was just right.
We really enjoyed walking around and looking at everything and learning all the history about the place and products, Brian was very informative and patient with all 4 of us. Definitely repeat business for me. And I will let all my friends, family and clients know where to go to get wholesale candy products.

“Don’t tell your dentist! Curly Girl is the SWEETEST store in Salem. My JELLY BELLY was in awe finding my favorites from the past. Warning: Don’t take my CANDY BUTTONS or you will be flying away on a SATELLITE WAFER. WHATCHAMACALLIT when your chocolate frog hops away? Oh yeah…delicious. One thing I can say about the staff is THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND and POP-ping UP when I had questions. They are just as enchanting as their CANNOLI BARS and Dubai chocolates. Are you a child of the 50s, 70s or 2000s? Well you will find IT here… even on FRIDAY THE 13TH.

“I was craving fudge while visiting the area and found Winfrey's on Google. I saw that they sold my absolute favorite penuche and the location was close to my hotel. I was greeted by the most pleasant two women upon entering the shop. I brought home a lb of fudge and some Easter eggs that they had on sale. Delicious, penuche just like my grandma used to make.. My only complaint is that I didn't find the shop sooner, it was my second to last visit to the area as my daughter graduates college next month. Anytime I venture that way I will for sure be back!!”
