“We happened to find Diehl Marcus & Co while in Salem in October. I have never really drank tea but was curious to try as they had such a variety. The employee (Luke) gave me recommendations and sent me home with 3 samples. I absolutely LOVE the Cottage Comfort and have now become a daily tea drinker. I have since started buying other products from them. I will be a life long customer all the way from MN! ?”

“This store is attached in the back to two other stores, so you can go to oak+moss, spruce home and roost if you are in a wheelchair. Very nice employees helped me go through the back hallway so I could appreciate all of what each store had. Everything was so nice and we definitely bought our share of items. I would highly recommend if you are in a wheelchair and need extra help.”

“We have been to Salem so many times, and somehow I never noticed this incredible shop until this past weekend, and now it is my new very favorite store! It is an absolute wonderland of beauty, and is filled with items to delight those of us with quirky little vintage souls. My whole family loved it so much that we stopped in, shopped, and returned a second time for a few more items when we were leaving. I'm already daydreaming about my next trip there so I can stockpile more whimsical wares!”
“I discovered this pottery studio back in February and have completed two class series so far—one beginner and one intermediate. Both instructors were incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I’ve learned so much and absolutely love this studio! I’ll definitely be back for more classes in the future.”

Christmas Shopping with two toddlers can be a workout, but the owner of the shop not only took the pressure off of me while I shopped for gifts, but she made the experience for my boys’ a special one. She took the time to sit down with them and write a letter to Santa keeping them occupied. Not only was the customer service next level, the uniques pieces make for great gifts! Thank you!!!”
“Amazing!!! I had to buy my wife a 9th anniversary gift with a week left on the clock. I realized it was pottery and I thought to myself perfect! Pottery is made of clay and there is literally a store around the block called Paper & Clay! How could I go wrong,l. I’m clearly the best husband that ever existed to put this together.
Within 5 minutes I had my present picked out with a matching card to boot all in one place and the owner Leslie, who is amazing, even wrapped it for me!
My only regret is Google doesn’t allow me to give bonus stars!

“What a fabulous giftshop. I signed up for a class that was held in the back of the store. The class was to make a hand scorched cheese tray. Before class I had the chance to walk around the store and look at all the fabulous gifts. Staff was super nice and helpful when I had questions. They offer great hands on class all year...and a wide selection of cute gifts. I look forward to taking another class and buying gifts there...”
“This was our favorite shop in Salem! They have a beautiful selection of items. The pricing was really sharp considering the quality (I bought some crystals that would have been 2-3x the price if I bought them at home in LA). And best of all, the women who were working were so wonderful and calming, I wanted to be them. I would live in this store if I could.”

“I’ve loved The Village Studio since it first opened! It’s my go-to place for gift giving (esp. hard-to-buy-for people and Secret Santa gifts), and when I want to treat myself. The staff is always kind and helpful. Most recently, for Christmas, I worked with Melissa to arrange a handmade quilt crafted from my daughter’s favorite and memorable childhood t-shirts and jackets. It came out better than I could have ever imagined, and she loved it! The quality of it is top notch, and the whole process was smooth and easy. I highly recommend if you have grown children and no idea what to do with their childhood t-shirts, sports or not.”
“The fruit bouquet was as pictured, thank you! The balloon was not what I ordered, that’s ok because I understand inventory changes.
My issue is the delivery was made at 5:10pm, that’s the end of a work day so I’m disappointed.”

“Been coming here since I was about 13! My favorite shop in Salem. The layout has never changed either, it’s so nostalgic and classic. I will always come and look for something fun here. I do however wish they’d bring back the classic black leather journals- I got a new one here every summer when I was growing up. It was a fun salem tradition for me. I looked this year for nostalgic purposes and they didn’t have them anymore. Bummer! But many other great finds including vintage Halloween blow molds!”
“I decided to hop over to Salem on a Sunday afternoon after a conference ended. It was a cold and rainy April day and lots of places had already closed but I saw this place had their lights on from a distance. I hopped through the ran and was so happy I did! It was such a quaint place with the friendliest owner and really cute stuff, not just decor but bath and skincare things too! I will definitely come back when I get to explore Salem on a longer visit.”

They had souvenirs for all. Cutest shirts excellent Halloween decorations and all for really good prices.This would be one of my most recommended stores out of the group that I visited. I received Grandma’s Chicken Noodle Soup with fresh bread as a gift, and it was absolutely delightful from the moment it arrived. The packaging was incredibly thoughtful and secure — you could tell care was put into every detail.
The soup itself was rich, flavorful, and heartwarming — exactly what you’d expect from something made with love. The chicken was tender, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the broth tasted like something straight out of grandma’s kitchen. The fresh bread that came with it was soft and the perfect companion to the soup.
I enjoyed it so much that I ended up ordering the soup and bread bowl combo as a gift for a coworker just a few days later! This is now my go-to comfort food gift. Whether it’s for someone who’s under the weather, needs a little cheering up, or just deserves something delicious, Grandma’s Chicken Soup hits the spot every time.

“I couldn't make the family reunion. I wanted to add something healthy, beautiful and something the kids would really love. Edible Arrangements did just that. Fruit really fresh, mango and kiwi appreciated with all of the fruits and the display captivated all ( especially the kids!). I made order by calling the store ( I am out of state but prefer the human connection to a store instead of on line) "Krista" helped me with order size . I requested an order late on Sunday. Krista noted they closed earlier on Sunday but she would make it the last order of the day. Couldn't be happier with product and service. Definitely order again.
