Had a horrible experience with the customer service team here. They essentially accused me of stealing after they missed putting a bag in my cart! This chain often has poor quality items, which is true to the adage “you get what you pay for.” At this location you don’t even get that! 😂

I ordered a full sheet graduation cake here and specifically informed the staff that filled out the pink order slip how I wanted the cake too look. I decided to change the pickup date due to having some extra free time on my hands only too get a completely wrong cake. The colors were the opposite of what I asked for. I kindly asked the young lady if the cake can be completely remade and she informed me that it's up to the cake decorator. Therefore, the cake decorator walked over with such a poor attitude and it was the worst customer service experience I have ever received at this Market Basket. The cake decorator gave me attitude the entire time while filling out a new pink sheet order slip. She acted as this was the biggest inconvenience to redo the cake. I informed her that as the head cake decorator she should have given me a call instead of deciding to put random colors on the cake without the customers approval.
Long story short I ended up calling back and complaining because my cake was late to the party. I spoke to one of the assistant managers Jeff in which he displayed that he really did not care about my poor experience. His excuse was well as the head decorator I would be upset as well if I had to redo a cake last minute. Jeff ended up telling me to pop back in for either a refund or gift card in which I went in the next day and nothing was communicated to other managers about the situation in which I had to speak to a different manager explain everything just to receive a gift card that should have already been left there to begin with.
Overall, I really can not believe this entire experience and everyone should work on their customer service skills. I definitely will not be ordering a cake their ever again.

Great local grocery store. One of the few left that aren't overpriced monstrosities. This is my go-to market even though I live closer to the Reading location. People here are generally kind and calm unlike some of the other locations. I've shopped here for years and years - as a kid with my mom and now as an adult with my own family. Glad to see they still have the same charm they did in 1990.

Supervisors at front of store are NOT helpful to handicap customers. Sorry I need a stupid scooter! If I didn't have to use it I certainly wouldn't be using them!

Usually this is my favorite Market Basket in the area. I work with the public for a living as well as most employees at Market Basket. Today I called to order a cake. I was transferred to the bakery and could not believe how angry the woman on the other end of the phone was. Her tone came right thru the phone on a few things she asked of me as well as me asking her. We do not know what somoeone is going through however...to be this angry...why? I did NOT order a cake...I will NOT shop here any longer. If I am going to spend my money, I would like to be treated with respect. I did not get her name however I called @ 1:10PM-1:15PM Thurs 5.15.25

The only chain grocery store that isn't price gouging. They take a loss on milk and eggs because it makes life better for all of us.
Walmart, Target and other large grocery chains should be ashamed.
