My ATM card was eaten by their ATM at which time they contacted me to let me know they have the card but I was unable to go to the bank to retrieve it right away. The following day there were three fraudulent charges on that card. I went to the branch as instructed to receive reimbursement and they told me it would be 45 days! They (Middleton) are the ones that had the card! I have been with this bank for 35 years when it started as Arlington bank then Shawmut then Sovereign, and now Santander which is the absolute worst, and I will never bank here again, and I’m changing all my accounts to a more reputable and professional institution.

My ATM card was eaten by their machine when they were not open. They contacted me to let me know that they had the card on a Friday at 4:45 PM. I was unable to get there to retrieve the card and felt that since it was at the bank, it was in safe hands, I was wrong. The following day there were three fraudulent charges on my ATM card but they did not take any responsibility and told me it would take 45 days to be reimbursed for these fraudulent charges! They had my card! I have been banking with this company for 35 years since it started as Arlington bank then Shawmut Bank then Sovereign bank, and now Santander. Santander is by far the worst bank I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I've had nothing but problems, and more definitely be changing my accounts once, and for all three more professional, reliable, and trustworthy institution.

If I could give a o0review for the branch manager I would. Unhelpful, arrogant and just nasty when we tried to close an account with proper paperwork.

Rude employees don't acknowledge you when u come in manager on her cell phone laughing likes she's on a personal text gives u a rude look like ur bothering her
