I had mixed experience here
Went for an oil change(full synthetic) , paid $110 .
Few days after the oil change, I started getting check engine light, and some other errors.
I went to get it diagnosed at a local mechanic, they couldn’t understand from the codes.
Has to take it to the dealership, where after doing the diagnostic, they figured that the oil cap had a metal part , which was thrown by mineke mechanic(by mistake ) , the warnings were coming due to oil pressure , they even took the video and sent it to me. They also said that I can’t drive it unless it gets fixed.it costed me $235 for the labor and replacement (could’ve been worse if I had to pay the diagnostic fee, which the dealership waived) .
So it costed me for the mistake that was done here at mineke
I went back to the Meineke, showed them the proof etc, they gave me a refund of $110 after accepting the mistake.
I was also told that my engine could’ve ruined bcos of this( not sure how much truth that is) , but honestly I was expecting more than this.
It’s a mixed review, I assumed that a place like this would know how to do oil change and not neglect these simple things.
The manager there was helpful, he tried his best to get me back the money I had to spend in fixing their mistake, but I think his manager declined it.
I don’t think I will be going back after this experience
