Unpleasant owner, always rude every time I went it there. I guess no more business to this place.

Super clean and efficient salon. See Huang for dip. Sally for gel. They’re so great!

I tried Peony’s salon first time today for a spa pedicure and was greatly disappointed with the outcome. I came home and trimmed around each toes that were dry. Skin not smooth and Polish sloppy. The woman who was giving me this pedicure was yawning and falling asleep during pedicure!!!
I would NOT recommend Peony’s Nail Salon!

Went in for a pedicure , simple white polish . Not only did it only take 20 minutes, I felt rushed and the “ manager was rude . There was no anything . I’ve had plenty of pedicures in my life where they put scents in the water , sugar scrub , lotion massage , warm towel and get the dead skin off your heels for a reasonable price of 35-65 depending on what you choose . Here there were no options and definitely no frills . I was told she would polish my nails after a basic wash and soak. Lotion slapped on and a 30 second run it in . Then I went to pay thinking for that service how much could they possibly charge . Well it was52 dollars . Outrageous. I get my nails done every 3 weeks and I know quality over highway robbery . I only went here as it was convenient on the day I went . Never ever again . Outrageous price for absolutely nothing . I could have done it at home . Will never come back and will be telling many people in the area to avoid this salon to save themselves some money and ugly nails

Disappointed in the “spa” pedicure. For what
I payed a Little more attention would have been appreciated. The callus tool fell apart during the service and she continued to use it anyway. I asked for more attention to the area and she still did not get a better tool. After I sat to dry my toes, she never checked in with me since I payed her as asked. Next time I would not pay until I am ready to leave. I would not rush back.

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this experience left me too frustrated to stay quiet.
I came in last Monday for a gel manicure—my first visit, only because my usual salon was blocked by the Boston Marathon. The technician clearly rushed through the service. I don’t expect to sit for hours, but the lack of care was noticeable, and I had a feeling the nails wouldn’t hold up. Sure enough, within two days, one had already started peeling.
I called and spoke with what I believe was the owner or manager. She allowed me to come in to have it fixed, which I appreciated. However, over the next few days, more nails began peeling and chipping. For context, my gel manicures typically last well over two weeks—this didn’t even last a full one.
Due to my work schedule (7 AM–7 PM), I couldn’t come in right away, but I called again and was told I could come Friday after work. Ten minutes later, she called me back to say it had been too long since the original appointment and she could no longer fix them—unless I paid a “discounted” rate of $20 for a new set. I declined and asked to have the gel simply removed, since I have a trip coming up and would rather wait to get them redone… plus, I just paid a good amount plus a very good tip!
When I came in for removal, the woman asked if I wanted to come back next week to redo them. I politely said, “Maybe, but I’d probably request a different technician,” because I didn’t want to risk the same poor job again. I said it calmly and respectfully—but she immediately snapped at me, said “Okay you’re done, bye,” and shooed me away, completely dismissing me mid-sentence. Even another client in the room gave me a shocked look.
Mind you, this is how she left my nails for me to leave

The entire experience was unprofessional and disappointing.
Bonus red flag: as someone who works in a dental office, I pay attention to sanitization. Their instrument pouches are visibly not properly sealed or processed. A sterilization pouch should have a sealed edge and a chemical indicator that changes color during proper sterilization. These bags looked tampered with or reused. That means you may be getting services with dirty instruments. Please check before letting anyone use tools on you.

I love the setting, but l agree with the previous post re rudeness. Whoever answers that phone is nearly unintelligible although there are women there who speak reasonable English. She gets pissed off if you say you can't understand her, let alone you wonder if she understands you! Their business is in an English-dominant neighborhood, but she obviously doesn't give a damn if you come or not!

Owner is just plain rude; she didn’t like that I wanted to take off my gel tips and do regular gel. I gave it back to her stating that I’m the customer and if I wanted to take tips off then I shouldn’t be forced into keeping them. Not sure if it was monetary incentive or if she was “too busy” like she always seems to be, but they lost me as a customer. It’s a shame because the nail tech Julie is wonderful and does a great job, but the fact that I have to encounter the owner as I enter the door not knowing if she’ll bite my head off is enough to not go. Maybe her end goal is customer attrition, in which case, she’s smart and is achieving her goal.

I went to Peony today for a spa pedicure. I’ve been going to Peony for about ten years. I received the best foot massage of my lifetime from Wendy, and I decided to throw caution to the wind and try a 45 minute body massage with her. It was exceptional. Wendy puts the work in. I felt better in a 45 min massage than I have in 90 min massage elsewhere. Highly recommend Wendy. 10/10

Just had my 3rd massage from Wendy . She was so knowledgeable about massage . I left feeling 10 years younger . She can work out the knots with those hands and my shoulders feel 5 inches lower. Treat yourself for a great massage for a great price!
