“This place offers exceptional sandwiches and crafts an exquisite baklava too. I highly recommend visiting--you won't be disappointed. Additionally, the staff here are incredibly welcoming and friendly.”
“Fantastic chicken at great prices. Also have fresh eggs. The place is spotless with out any bad odors like most butcheries. The staff is always efficient and courteous. I can't go back to grocery store chicken.”
“Amazing quality and love the ease of the monthly delivery. Absolutely love the wings, ribs, ground pork, eggs, butter and the lamb is awesome. Highly recommend Walden local”
“While I haven’t visited this location, I can say that the Kountry Klub Franks are THE best ..bar none, my only complaint is that I can no longer get them locally in Florida. Maybe Pearl..you could work on that, many new englanders down here…make the money work for you and get it done. TY”
“First time trying this spot! Needed some dinner while working the evening shift. I got Italian Sandwich SPLIT in half. And a side of Bacon & chive potato salad. Also extra pickles on sub and a peach ice tea drink. The sub bread tasted fresh and the bread wasn't soggy. A perfect amount of wine sauce and the tomatoes, lettuce and were fresh tasting also. They give you a great amount of meat pretty hefty! Great tasting Italian sub the potato salad was good as well! Will try again when working the evening shift for dinner very satisfied with the quality and the taste of the food!”
“The store has some exotic foods ranging from quil eggs to snake meat…even venison. Very kind people, Had an interview here today, really nice people and very hard workers. Christopher the general manager is extremely professional, humble, and overall a cool dude. If your looking for a nice small exotic food market for you to make the most extraordinary home cooked meals. Savenors comes highly recommended.”
“I was recommended by a neighbor to come here for raw marrow bones for my dog, and was blown away the first time I went in. Beautiful grocery items as well as knowledgeable and super friendly staff. They even asked my dog’s size to make sure the bones were cut to a safe size. Its become a weekly staple for me and the cuts of meat are leaps and bounds better quality than even Whole Foods.”
“My father has been going here for years and the sausages, ground beef, everything has always been 5 star, have never had a single complaint. I stopped in with my father for the first time in a year and got treated with the highest level of respect. If you’re ever in Newton i advise you stop in, you won’t regret it.”

“Okay, you first walk in and you see weird stuff like goat and sheep's heads. You smell the meat. The atmosphere is a little grimy, since it is parked right next door to Haymarket. The smell of funky cheese from a few doors down does not help. By far, this place does not look like much of anything. But first impressions are deceiving. This place is a hidden gem. The shop is over a hundred years old and it is a true, old school butcher. For the uninitiated, that means you are not going to find ground beef neatly packaged in styrofoam, but rather an "everything but the oink/moo/cluck/gobble/baa" mentality; they even will sell you a whole goat or sheep to roast on a spit. My advice is to stick around. I myself rave about this place because I got the perfect sized turkey for Thanksgiving, fresh kill, freshly butchered. It was succulent and excellent quality! Even if they don't have what you want in stock, they can get it to you within a few days, and again, they butcher EVERY MEAT OR FOWL KNOWN TO MAN. (You do have to verbally ask for some of their items, since the fridge is in the back as is where the butchering is done: they bring it to you.) They cater to both immigrant and local tastes, something Savenor's does not, and it is worth it-the Vietnamese guy gets his tripe to make pho, you get your prized rib roast, and the Puerto Rican walks out happily carrying a whole suckling pig she has carefully wrapped up to take home for Christmas dinner. Go on, give it a chance. Do what I did and go in advance for the holiday meal. Have your turkey or goose safely waiting for you and eat like a king while idiots fight over a frozen Butterball or a crown roast of meh from Shaw's. Poke at the goat meat, and then learn it tastes like lamb and actually would be a treat if used in a stew recipe. Go look up an old recipe of Julia Child's from the 1950's and realize that the foot of a cow was the old way to get gelatin and if all the instant stuff at the supermarket suddenly goes poof, you are going to be fine: the 100+ year old butcher shop that is older than Savenor's still has the foot, weird though that is.”

“Morrisey Market is such a lifesaver! We are able to order great quality, affordable groceries right to our door. This saves us time and money each week that we are so grateful for. I love discovering new items too!”
“looking for smoked sausage my mother bought from this store in 1990, they were the very best sausage. The family bought them by the boxes they are good for sandwiches, breakfast and all other dishes made from cabbage and sausage collard greens you name it.”
“Sulmona Meat Market is in business and going strong. Myself and Bobby Pugliese would drive from Vermont to purchase whole hind quarters for our veal dishes at the Jamiaca ouse back in the mid 1970's and of course Dominic's famous homemade sausage. This is a testiment of how a quality meat shop stays open for decades after decades. Businesses come and go, but true quality of meats and service continues to this day. Congratulations on such an achievement!!!! Oakie”
“"This Pakistani grocery store is a gem! The prices are great, and it's my go-to place for getting high-quality, halal meat. The variety of products is impressive, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. A one-stop shop for all my culinary needs."”
“I had a wonderful experience with this family-owned business over the past couple of years. Despite the long drive from Cape Cod, it was absolutely worth it. Salim and his wife or Abdul Karim graciously took my order over the phone and ensured I received exactly what I asked for. I can’t express my gratitude enough to this warm and welcoming family business. Not only did I savor their delicious food, but I also cherished our friendly chats. As I am moving away, I know I’ll deeply miss this place. So many thanks to you!”
“We go to AP all the time... the Dot location is cozy and the employees are off-the-charts nice. Quality of gourmet groceries, deli meats/cheese, and wine/beer/liquor selection are all phenomenal. I bought several people xmas gifts this year that were just little baskets full of things entirely from AP. Owner Matt went above and beyond when there was a mixup with something we ordered, dropping off a gift to our home. This is the sort of stuff that neighborhood patrons don't forget!”
“I go there all the time for their cooked chicken cutlets tried their pork chops OMG my husband said he never had a pork chop as tasty and moist as the Meat Market. Went back for more!”

“We found the Vitoria in Everett* so amazing we made the trek through the city every few months to stock up. I was SO happy to see one in Quincy (a 15 minute drive instead of the 30-90 minutes to get up there from where we are). The meat selection was top notch, great prices, friendly/helpful staff (we don't speak Portuguese), nice selection of produce, grocery items and spices, including what appeared to be prepared sauces (I'm a huge fan of chimichurri). The chicken wrapped in bacon is THE BEST, picanha is a fabulous cut for large gatherings, they also have a great variety of delicious sausages.*I actually don't know if the stores in Quincy and Everett are related, but they have the same name and the sign logo looks the same.”
“Great local butcher with a variety of meat options. The steak tips were delicious on the grill and full of flavor. For $18 a pound, it can get pricy quickly, but are worth buying to impress your guest for a special occasion.”
“This is THE BEST pork and beef hot dog I’ve ever had! They don’t seem to be available in a lot of places. I found them at Publix. Boiled or air fried, they are absolutely delicious!!!”

“Absolutely excellent customer service. The owner delivered the spices I bought personally for me when I could not get there although they were not currently even delivering. This was exceptionally nice of him. They are super friendly and just great business people. The spices were completely authentic. Excellent taste. I highly recommend. Love this place.”
“Just found Quality Meat. The best steak we've had at a very reasonable price. The owners are very friendly running a tiny shop on their own and delivering great quality. Will buy all our chicken and other meat only from this tiny, friendly shop.”
“I really love the service. If you want to go to a family owned establishment in Boston I really recommend Clinton’s they are very personable and I loved that a lot !!!They have reasonable prices actually more than FAIR Prices! AND THEY ARE BLACK OWNED ✊?CHECK THEM OUT‼️‼️‼️”
“I shop at this market regularly for fresh chicken and vegetables. I have also purchased spices to make Vietnamese, Thai & Filipino food. There are a variety of products including spices, spice packs and seasonings.”
“Great fresh meat every-time! Never purchased from other stores once I’ve started buying from here. The owner is very nice and respectful of her customers. Always greets with a smile. Best halal meat in and around!!”
“America Food Basket ? ?. Is the ready store that means everything is always in store . The employees every time if you are okay or not lost. I love the customer service. They always bring up fun”
“There are two live poultry shops in Chinatown but I've only ever shopped at this one. If you've ever eaten soy sauce chicken or scallion/ginger chicken at a Cantonese restaurant, they are most likely using what they call Brown Chicken at this shop. This is a breed of chicken that Cantonese folks tend to use and is characterized by its bright vibrant yellow skin. The meat is a firmer than your Costco chicken and has more chicken taste. Prior to the pandemic I recall buying them for $3.20/lb and now in 2023 they are going for $3.60/lb. Chickens tend to be around 5-6 pounds so expect to spend around $20/chicken. My family has been buying from here for years.Tip: cash only.”
“Yesterday was my first time here, so happy to find Halal close to home. The staff were friendly , professional and welcoming . All The meat and store products were of very good quality and clean atmosphere ! I appreciated the warm welcome when I came in the door . I will be back for more!”
