The Montague Bookmill is an absolute gem and a neat, funky bookstore in a unique old mill building overlooking a river and cascading stream. Its well curated collection offers books of all types and ages, with a combination of new and used books on shelves and in nooks and crannies. The worn wooden floors and quiet attic spots provide nice little reading nooks to curl up with a book. The surrounding shops include a nice coffee shop that makes sandwiches, a record store, a little gallery, and a restaurant. It is a favorite place to spend time, well worth the trip to browse and buy books, enjoy a cup of tea on the porch over the stream, and listen to the waterfall.
A classic book retreat on the Connecticut River! Well-curated used books selection with a bonus of expository stuff upstairs!

Super cool used book store with a great view of the river/stream. It has a coffee shop attached. Book store is 2 floors. Prices are written in pencil inside the cover. Lots of different topics! Definitely a great place to buy a book and read outside! Only downfall: when its hot, the store is hot.

Great place for a coffee and to get some work/reading done. Beautiful river view, we come here often!
