The Nantucket Land Council (NLC) is an extremely hard-working advocacy organization that protects & defends Nantucket's natural resources. They offer several educational programs & outreach opportunities to the community including grants, school programs, resource guides, workshops and field trips. The Nantucket Land Council (NLC) leads several research projects to ensure the biodiversity of Nantucket is protected. As members of The Nantucket Biodiversity Initiative, NLC works with local, state and national organizations. “I went here on a warm Tuesday afternoon, only to find the place locked down tight. Like a prison. Apparently they had an extraterrestrial incursion from the 8th plane. A spokesperson for the Classroom came out to greet me after I was furiously beating on the door to let me in. She said they would be open in 3 minutes and to NOT worry. They would be serving doughnuts for anyone who was locked out during the interruption.got in, had a powdered doughnut, saw some stars. 5/5”
