Good clean room. Fair price. No TV. Got to Hotel late in the evening, nobody on site. I had to figure and call hotel and was instructed to check myself in. I left the hotel before 8 AM. Was advertised as free breakfast there wasn’t even coffee.Location was convenient for the work I was doing on the island. Id stay there again

I understand that it’s an old house. But I really do think that I should be modernized to include some accessibility accommodations.Nearby activities: Walkable from a lot of different activities, as Nantucket is very smallWalkability: Pretty walkable from the ferry

Checked in to find our double queen room shares a bathroom with 3 or 4 other rooms! There was no disclosure of this when we booked.Sharing a bathroom with 6 to 8 to 12 other people for ~$400 is outrageous!I gave them 3 stars for service because they were very quick to refund us when we found another place to stay.

Booked a room here but ended up not staying. There was street construction right outside the front door and there was no way to park nearby. The innkeeper graciously offered to refund us our money, and we accepted. I found the place to be dingy and poorly maintained. Carpets and upholstery were noticeably soiled, the door to our room would not latch so we were instructed to use the lock in order to keep it closed. Not convenient - how about you just have it fixed?? All in all, we were baffled as to why the place got such great reviews. We ended up staying around the corner at a much nicer place for less money. Again, the innkeeper was fine, but the owners need to step up and spend for some overdue maintenance.

Very nice place to stay. Lots of steps though. Room was large, nice clean bathroom, & service was excellent. Loved the fresh cookies every evening. The location was close by to the event we were attending.

A truly delightful place to be. Comfiest beds, softest sheets, fluffiest towels *and* freshly baked bickies. It’s located right in the centre of town, walking distance to everything you need. The breakfast was delicious and served at a communal table where the company was excellent. We especially loved all the cosy reading nooks scattered throughout the inn - you won’t want to leave.

If you are looking for a historic Inn that is trying to do the right thing with upgrades and amenities, this is a great place, location, food and all. There are some very old doors, latches, and such to be expected upstairs. Make sure to note some rooms have shared bathrooms, when reserving. The breakfast is quite wholesome, and it is an easy, pleasant walk from the ferry and quiet neighborhood

BEWARE-MOST of the reviews on google are before the new Innkeeper taking over. We made our decision to stay here based on those reviews. I arrived at the Inn only to be "questioned" WHY I have a vehicle, why my 2 sons are staying with me & why wasn't I there right from the 10:30 boat? The innkeeper "Cindy" looked out front and said, "Is that your green thing out there?" It is a 2021 JEEP and yes it is green but it's not a "thing". Our accommodations were what was expected but the way we were treated from the moment we stepped through the door was NOT OK! I have been in hospitality my entire life & I have to say, I have NEVER been treated this way nor have I ever had a guest stay at one of my properties and complain about such. Before writing this review, I reached out to the ownership group to share my experience but my calls and emails were not returned. I did not want to resort to an online review such as this but I was left with no choice. The location is good and the breakfast is what you'd expect at an inn. I stayed midweek, the rate was high but it's the rate I agreed to pay. HOWEVER, had I known the new innkeeper is AWFUL, I would have chosen to stay elsewhere.

We've had a wonderful stay here, so far. Well maintained. Well run. Love the room (#21), and its veranda. Fresh baked cookies every day are a nice touch. I encourage you to consider staying here during your next visit to the island. Check it out. Thank me later.Peace.

Home away from home! Claire the manager knows her calling and does it well. Hospitality at it's finest. Keeps the Inn humming. She makes sure you know all amenities the Martin House Inn has to offer. Cooks her homemade scones for breakfast and homemade snacks for afternoon delights. Keeps in touch with you throughout your stay. A hidden treasure I will definitely come back.

This Inn is absolutely gorgeous! Claire and staff are so wonderful. The baked pastries to the cleanliness everything was perfect. The widows peak was awesome and the big porch with the sitting area was perfect for a warm day. Always a nice breeze coming through. Cannot say enough!
