Expected more from the 4.4 rating. Their eggs are made from powder instead of freshly cooked. Pastries were good.

Stepping into Charles River Coffee House is like wrapping yourself in the warmth of a community quilt. It's the kind of place where the coffee is always robust and the smiles are free and easy. Whether you're a local or just passing through, you'll be treated like family. The pastries are a flaky, buttery delight, and their sandwiches? Let's just say they've nailed the perfect bread-to-filling ratio. It's not just a coffee shop; it's a cozy haven in Wellesley, MA, where every cup of coffee feels like a personal gift from the barista to you. If you're around, don't miss the chance to make your day better with their signature blend and a side of local charm.

Cute little spot but maybe inflation has hit them hard. Over $4 for a large coffee. That’s a little much. I will still go but just not as often. Also, they really need to do something about the flies behind the glass.

Not a bad spot among very few in this neighborhood. Coffee is pretty good, good food options and pastries. Good option if in this area.

Things I loved: - the location (river, across from the library, next to a park) - pleasant staff - variety of the menu - vintage feel/ambiance - amazing sandwich (i think i read they make their own honey mustard too!) Things that don't really matter: - it's a little crammed My only hang up is that my latte didn't taste the best. Next time I come in I'll just try a different drink, because I liked everything else!
