Greg has cared for two Eurovan's for me over the past couple of years. He knows them well and it shows. I appreciate the proper treatment of my vans, not jacked off the ground off the jack point (which creases the frame of these vans), removing the engine guard to service (while others just bend to access filters), advising the best preventative maintenance (cabin air filter or transmission oil). If you drive an MV or Pop Top, Gregg is THE guy. He has done tie rods, full brakes, batteries, plugs, and much more, keeping me tooling around confidently.

Greg is master of repairing late model VWs. I have a 2002 Eurovan full pop up camper. The camper is no longer supported by Winnebago service and the vehicle is no longer supported by VW. This means parts need to sourced from third parties, which Greg knows how to do this. Parts with chips are particularly tricky, such as when my transmission controller went bad, and Greg knew he had to find a rebuilt one that matched my particular transmission serial number. He did the repair, and the trans works great now. He also knew to replace my alternater with a higher Amp version. His prices have always been fair. It can take time to diagnose and get the right parts, but when I needed the van for a planned vacation, Greg came through for me. I don't take my van anywhere else for repairs.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Greg did a great job with my 1991 Vanagon. He checked though the van completely and gave me a full list of what needed to be done and the price for each. He allowed me to pick which repairs I wanted him to do, and I found the prices to be fair for the services he did perform. The turnaround time was also exceptional considering the volume of work done. The rear main seal repair included dropping the transmission, which Greg did quickly and for a fair price, and I am oil leak free (or as close as a 30 year old van will get)I would recommend Greg for any Vanagon specific repairs, and judging by the volume of air cooled machines in the driveway, you won’t go wrong bringing them here either.Services: Vehicle Inspection

I brought my 1982 VW Diesel Vanagon to Greg in Natick because my local mechanic [in The Berkshires] was too busy to get to it before the beginning of February. Greg worked on it when the prior owner had it, so I thought he might have more insight. I had the van towed to his shop on January 13th, and was told he could get to it in 3 - 4 days. I sent an email message the following day communicating exactly the work I wanted done: 1) figure out why it seems to be going through oil, provide an estimate to fix and do so - and - 2) identify and fix an electrical issue (a monitor for the house battery was going off, and I wasn't sure why). I also suggested he look at the manual created by the prior owner. To make a VERY long story short, he had the vehicle for about a month and a half, and - after paying him $3,682.53 - the van would not start after stopping for gas on the way home from his shop. I then discovered the oil issue is still as bad as when I delivered it, as is the electrical. It is clear these issues were never corrected. I wrote to him the following day - and several times since - asking if he ever did the work he was supposed to, and he has refused to answer. He has refused to communicate in writing at all, which I find quite telling. I told him I wanted my money - which he requested in cash - back. He only offered to cover "up to" 3 hours of work for free, on the work he already did ONLY...which wasn't what he was hired to do. At a time when we are facing an uncertain world, and I will have no business for an untold amount of time, I cannot let this person take advantage of me for such a large amount of money. Unfortunately, I now have to take steps to go after him to collect it. Fortunately, I have strong documentation on my side. You can decide for yourself whether or not to take your vehicle here....

I gave Greg specific, clear direction - in writing - re: what to assess and repair on my 1982 ** ******* (determine whether it was burning or leaking oil, and address an electrical issue). He had my vehicle for a month and a half, said it needed additional work, charged me almost $3700.00 to fix, and returned it with the same issues. Additionally, after stopping for gas on the way home from his shop, it wouldn't restart...a problem it did not have before taking it there. To date, he has refused to address my questions in writing. I suspect I will wind up having to file a complaint here, with the Consumer Advocacy and Response Division of the Attorney General's office and - unfortunately - via the small claims court....
