Wouldn’t need security if the people behind the counter were effective at their jobs, six people behind the counter, system down for over an hour, not a single announcement or helpful alternative to waiting the day away. Actively unhelpful, unpleasant and incompetent staff.

I needed to replace my EZ pass device. Although you do have to take a number to be assisted (like at a deli counter), it went smooth. A board tells you wait times, but mine said 15 minutes but I was up in 5. Clerk was very helpful. Just answer a few questions and hand over non working device. I received new device and pamphlet regarding where to place in vehicle and how.

I got real id without appointment. Applied online. Went in on a Friday afternoon at 2 pm. In and out in half hour. Make sure you bring all the document mentioned in your printed application receipt.
It’s a really small rmv. As soon as I entered the security asked me what I was there for - Then pointed me to wait in line for the gentleman at customer service who took my application and asked if I had an appointment. Since I didn’t I was told to take a seat and wait. Fortunately there were only two people ahead of me(probably with appointments).
Finally my turn came and was done inside 5 mins - they took a new photo for real id and said it would be delivered in 2 to 3 weeks. The lady who processed my application was friendly and knew what she was doing.
Note - this rmv is on i90 service plaza, the nearest exit is a bit far away.

Couldn't get an appointment online for license renewal. Decided to walk-in at 8 AM, done by 8:15 AM. Staff was very nice

Crazy concept, but maybe don't get a job interacting with the public if you hate interacting with the public. No idea what the security guard's problem is but he was extremely rude as soon as I entered. Tried asking him a question and he cuts me off and raises his voice at me. No idea what his purpose even is there other than to berate customers since there's signs and tickets for you to take a number. I ended up getting called up to the front before this guy could finish ruining my day since they were relatively empty. No idea how this guy still has a job but I'll be going to a different RMV next time to avoid him.

These people are efficient and don't put up with BS. Come here if you're prepared and want to get stuff done.

Technically, got what I came for. My upgrade to Real ID. However, I had an appointment which I tried telling the guard at the entrance which like others have mentioned in their reviews shouldn't be employed anywhere that requires talking to the public. I couldn't get my words out before he barked loudly at me whether or not I was there for the EZ pass or not. I said no, so he just told me to go sit at the bench. Again, tried asking if I should take a number or telling him I had an appointment but he just yelled again to sit at the bench. The kind woman sitting next to me at the bench told me he seemed to be like that and that there seemed to be no system in place for waiting. Worst was the couple of guys that came in after me who were native Spanish speakers and tried asking him something and he got really aggressive with them and immediately stood up and in their face when they hadn't even finished their first question. Yelled at them he couldn't understand what they were saying and to go sit at the bench. The lack of respect for any human being asking a simple question is ridiculous and even more that aggressiveness when they didn't speak English right away that seemed to be to humiliate them in public. Other came and he treated them the same but not as bad as those two. As to the woman who attended me I ended up being charged twice and she refused to acknowledge it. Told me to take it up with the RMV and contest it. When I asked her how was I supposed to do that when there's no way to contact them by phone or if she could provide me with the process to do so she basically said goodbye and got more serious that I needed to leave since we were done. She did also refuse to redo my picture even after asking me if I was okay with it, which after this experience was the least of my concerns, but then why bother asking just to turn me down?

Fantastic customer service. Friendly security pointing me in the right direction. EZ Pass rep fixed my issues lucky split then over to the RMV side. One guy dealing with walk-ins solving problems on the spot. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Great experience today.
