Never but never schedule a vaccine appointment. They never provide de right services, the staff are so angry. And the worst part is they charge your insurance for vaccinations not provided and that is a violation of corporate compliance according with CMS board. So if you experience the same thing open a compliance ticket with a CMS board member .

Where do I start on how awful this store is?
Everything is locked behind glass. EVERYTHING. There are never enough employees around to open things and get it for you, so I give up and just leave usually.
The dumpster behind the store is always overflowing with trash and contributes to the city's rat problem. You can watch rats scurry around all night and even sometimes during the day you see them there. Eating the trash that is all over the ground near the dumpster.
I'd like to add a note that the employees here are usually friendly and competent. I do not want this review to reflect on them poorly. But it's clear the CVS as a company does not care about this store and does not care about being a good neighbor to the community it is located in.
I realize it is in a poor run down neighborhood but that is not, in my opinion, an excuse for the store to be in such an atrocious condition at all times. Nothing is done about the people asking for money outside too, which is constant. Please do better than this CVS. Your stores in Boston and suburbs are not like this.

I recently had an experience at the 136 Ashley Blvd location, and I must say it is a very uncomfortable location to shop at. When I tried to review the body soap ingredients before making a purchase, I found that the body soaps were locked in a case. After asking for assistance, I was informed that I couldn't hold the soap to read until I purchased the item. When I inquired about the store policy regarding this matter, the employee could not provide me with the policy.

The pharmacy needs to get it together... i was sent to get prescriptions ... i was NEVER told anything about one being back ordered .. yet when the person went back asking about the missing prescription ... First they were made to wait while the pharmacy staff finished their conversation about nothing with another staff member, then THEY TOLD THEM THEN INFORMED ME IT WASNT INSTOCK . like come on! communication is everything & there isnt any communication.

Don't go to any CVS. They don't take phone calls, you are forced to leave a message and they don't call back. This is a new policy. If you want to go to the drive thru good luck. They close it randomly and you're forced to go in. Now if your not ambulatory like me (my wheel chair can't go in my car) you have no way to contact the pharmacy because they don't pick up calls or return messages left and the drive thru is closed. These practices by CVS are discriminatory and against the disabled community. Oh and if you have Covid and expect to get an antiviral from CVS forget it. Not one CVS in the city or surrounding areas carries it. See how much CVS cares about the community! Walgreens does along with most pharmacies in the area. Trust me it's been a 2 day ordeal and with no drive thru and no phone calls accepted or returned by CVS it was a nightmare. I've been a customer of CVS for 15 years but because of the continued incompetence lack of drug inventory and discriminatory practices I won't be for long.
I would like to add that most staff at CVS their hands are tied. This is all on Corporate CVS who don't care about their employees or the community's they serve.

This is the absolute worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. Unfortunately my insurance won’t allow me to fill at Walgreens anymore so I’m stuck with CVS and this is the closest one to my house. I’m currently waiting for someone to pick up the phone so I can ask a question about when my medication (that I’ve been waiting for) will finally be back in stock and I’ve been listening to this elevator music for 35 minutes now. No one has picked up to even acknowledge the phone call. There are a few people who work behind the desk who are pleasant but there are some rude ones who act like everyone picking up meds there is an addict. They make you feel like even being in line waiting for your prescription is a bother to them. Oh and I’m still waiting for someone to pick up the phone, now 39 minutes!
