Founded in 1990 Gallery X is a contemporary, community art gallery with a rotating schedule of art exhibitions, music performances, movie screenings, and other community events.
A non-profit, Gallery X promotes a mission of cultural outreach through art exhibitions, accessible educational programming, and community partnerships to stimulate artistic awareness in New Bedford and the surrounding communities. We seek to act as an incubator for emerging artists as well as a venue for established ones by creating a platform where artists, performers, and creatives of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds, have a safe, professional space to showcase their talents as a community.
A beautiful gallery space with eclectic shows, very friendly staff, and a public restroom. Community events are also hosted here occasionally - I learned to folk dance in the upper gallery!

Excellent place to visit. Wonderful exhibits by local talent. They have gifts for sale. Very relaxed atmosphere. You can take your time and stroll through. Awesome galley downstairs as well. Plenty of in street parking.
