There seems to be a power struggle between the Portuguese and Spanish speaking staff in this place. If there hasn't been any discrimination I'm sure there will be in the future.I myself only know sow much of either language but I know dialog well. Last time I went I was encouraged to take as much baked goods as possible but I don't eat much bread's or pastries like at all. I'll take a loaf ? & maybe a cheese danish if they have a abundance.Today I was simply switching the egg bagels for everything bagels and I and the cart was grabbing from behind by a lady whom started raising her voice that I ”can only have 1" bagel as she was looking around for help to what I can assume was to attach me. I said "I'm only switching them or why would I pick up the one's from my cart in advance" she seemed to be conflicted about the fact that I spoke English.I'm mostly Native American and my English ancestors built New Bedford. I'm a direct descendant of Philip Taber and Elizabeth Taber but I can see why a racist would be confused. I get it I'm Red.When she hurd me speaking it still took her a couple minutes to stop her assault on me. She continued to look around for help from other staff to subjugate me. & Once she finally got a hold of herself she continued to hover for a short time until I explained that I'm a diagnosed PTSD victim & that she can't do that to ppl.I was raised Catholic & as I grow up I realized that you're not suppose to pray to any objects of any kind like crosse's or ppl in any depletion especially as God. So I tend to decline prayer when I go here as I can not pray to anyone but God and they only prayer they offer is of Catholic faith. I can't pray to the mother of Jesus or even Jesus himself as they was human and not God. The depletions of Mary & Jesus are exact depletions of King Nimrod & his wich mother Semiramis. As a Christian I don't force my faith onto anyone or pass judgement. But I'll pass on this places in the future. A stail bread & a chicken or 30 pieces of silver is not enough for me to betray God. I'm not going to do it for anything even equality amongst other ppl. I'll gladly stay away.God bless

I'm glad places like this exist to help people, I've just not personally received any help from them. I have scheduled a pickup for donations; a truck came, picked up all the clothing I had for donation. The guys who came were on time & very polite. On the downside scheduling a pickup takes a while, my experience was about a month and a half wait, however the fact that they came to me negates that, really how could I complain?!? They were great!!

This place will always be Special to me. They help families in need, religious services, and self help programs. The staff are warm and welcoming to each person who enters. Without the Salvation Army many families would not have a Christmas!

I called before I came to make a large donation, unfortunately they locked the door and told me to come back in an hr after lunch. The donation went in the trash and money back in my pocket. We need relatable people working for The Salvation Army.
